Jimmy Butler with a super star type game tonight. Definitely a difference maker.

Now the Negative Nancies are having a field day. They are starting to come out in droves.

We have rebounded well in the second half, but our defense became suspect. The refs didnt help, they have been constantly killing whatever momentum we get.

Has avery taken a shot in the 4th? I think Brad has to tweak his rotations a bit so IT is on the floor at the start of the 4th. We also played well with Jerebko on the floor, the spacing was good. Why go away from it?

CBS is a great regular season coach that does a lot with a little. I don't think this team is going to win a championship,  this year. It's still fun to watch though.

But we have a top 4 pick and enough cap room to get another max player.

This team will get better and compete for a championship.  It's just going to take longer than some fans want.

Nice to close the gap at the end, make it seem closer than it was.

Imagine if they had played a bit tighter earlier in the game.

Good news is, Celts aren't alone in dropping the home opener in disappointing fashion.  Clips and Raps are right there too.  Cavs didn't exactly look impressive against the Pacers, either.

Can you sign Hayward and add rebounding?

I'm disappointed... the same old team short comings keep popping up.

If the Celtics didn't win this game, with all this emotion attached to it, getting out of the first round will be a hard road. And in that case some hard decisions will have to be made this summer. We have some starters that are strictly marginal...and I'm not talking about IT here.

The Celts are going to win this series.  I believe that.

But this game goes to show you that when you're at a talent and size disadvantage in the playoffs, it doesn't matter if you have HCA or more shooting.  You're still gonna look like an underdog when the playoffs roll around.

I agree.  This is a team that overachieves in the regular season.  Once the playoffs start, and gems are game planning and playing hard the whole game, we come back to earth.

The loss is on none of these guys.  It's on Danny Ainge.
