I don't understand why Smart is over Thomas, Bradley, and Crowder. I disagree and think those players could fetch you more on the open market. Not a fan of Chad Finn....
Chad Finn is awesome.
If you don't like the list, make your own.
On the open market, the kind of asset you could get for undersized, peaking Thomas and Bradley from teams with good records who want to win more and don't have expendable good players to lose and don't have top-tier draft picks to trade ...is less than what you could get for one of the most dynamic defenders in the league who just turned 23 from worse teams who have better picks to trade and who don't mind losing veterans.
Completely illogical to include starters, coach and management. Could we trade Danny Ainge? Of course not. Is Al Horford really only their 6th best asset?
In addition, I don't see the logic of listing them in reverse order. Trying to build drama into the article? It doesn't. I got through 20, 19, 18, then just skipped down.
Any one of us here could have done as good a job.
Not illogical. We
can trade Stevens. And it's Ainge who ultimately gathered all the assets, the prime mover of sorts, the Prime Asset. Even if he can't technically be traded, doesn't mean he's not an asset, and...you sure he can't be traded like Doc was? If ownership can trade Ainge, then it's completely logical.
Any of us could do that list as well? Then do it.
