... and the 2018 #1 for?
Andrew Wiggins?
Anthony Davis?
John Wall?
Klay Thompson?
All we ever hear about is PG13 and Butler but these are all guys that many people haven't talked about. I'm not advocating a trade just asking the question.
Wiggins:
No, he isn't transcended and doesn't do much beyond scoring. His ceiling is Derozan, and I think one or two of the guys in this draft could be better then that .
Davis:
Yes. No brainer. Sure the injury history is a worry, but it's Anthony freaki'n Davis - you have to do it.
Wall:
No. Wall is a sideways step from Thomas, and while I can understand the desire to replace Thomas with Wall (due to Wall's versatility) - no way I would give up a #1 pick to do it. Plus Washington did really well this year, and Wall had a career year. I doubt they'd give him up without getting Thomas in return - and he's certainly not worth both Thomas AND a #1 pick.
Thompson:
Probably not. While we could use an upgrade at the SF spot (and a Thompson /Crowder combo would be very nice) Thompson is the third best player on his team, and I don't consider him to be a transcended player. He's a clear cut all-star and would put up massive numbers if moved here (without playing behind Durant and Curry) but I'm still not convinced he is transcended. I think you'd have to think about it, but not sure he'd pull the trigger.
I feel like there are only maybe 5 or 6 guys in the NBA that Danny would trade that pick for.
