All the other noise, I don't want to hear about right now. This is what it comes down to me. Take care of your business, get the first seed. One game left for the Celtics to show what they're made of and go into the playoffs feeling good about themselves.

I love this team, I want to see them assert themselves a little bit before the playoffs here and convince me they're a for-real contender.

If someone had told me before the season started that the Celtics will go into the last game in control of their destiny for the first seed, I would have laughed it off. Oh well  8)

If the Celtics really wanted to "assert themselves and prove themselves contenders," then we should have played harder in those games vs. the Cavs and Hawks, when we were in control to take the number 1 seed.  Not right now, when the 1 seed basically fell into our lap.

Proud of our boys for the way they've played the past month and the rythym they've built leading into the playoffs.  And I really hope we finish strong tomorrow.  But let's be honest, we had our chance to prove ourselves in that Cavs game.

Winning that game would have definitely gotten our guys "feeling good" about themselves and improved our odds in every round.  Beating the Bucks on the other hand doesn't really mean anything to this team, and I don't think it's gonna give the team substantially more confidence than they already have.

Regardless, we all want to end with a win.  TP's to all for the positivity.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Disagree with the bolded. The Bucks just beat the Celtics in a tough, physical game. The Celtics have a chance to make history by finishing first in the East while securing the best odds of a #1 pick. Basically, they're accomplishing feats in basketball and in the front office. This game means something.

As far as the playoffs go, I don't think that most fans expect us to go to the Finals. I think an ECF appearance is good enough for a rebuilding team. They are a top 5 team in the league with the best prospects of improvement b/c of BKN's picks.

Please, oh please, someone make a negative comment about the Celtics at this point.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Surprisingly, no word of this on Rotoworld. But then maybe not. Most of these sports sites are NY based, so Boston doesn't get much respect. MLB TV network is mainly Yankees-Mets right now.

Being the 1st seed means Avoiding Toronto, should we get to the 2nd round...this is Huge for us....Also, it makes Cleveland play the Raptors.

I couldn't believe Scal and Draper couldn't figure this out last night in the pre-game show...all they could come up with is--it gives them home court advantage in the east.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

If Hawks beat the Hornets tonight, Bucks will be locked for #6 seed...who should then have zero incentive to play their key guys Wednesday night.

So we're all Hawks fans tonight right lol.

Raptors got it right as well. If the ECF is Celtics VS Raptors, call it Karma.
