Does anyone like the idea of bringing AB off the bench and starting Smart? AB would give the 2nd unit some scoring so we don't have a huge dropoff when IT comes out. We can still finish the games with AB, IT and Smart but just getting from the late 2nd quarter and late 3rd quarter I believe would help us maintain leads. AB and Rozier would give us some balance.

THoughts?

I'd start Brown if I was going to bring Avery off the bench, we need his length and athleticism.

Not the time to be playing around with the starting lineup. Especially when it concerns taking your best perimeter defender out of the starting lineup.

LOL well alrighty then. Maybe Stevens can call quicker timeouts and not let other teams go on 14-2, 19-6 runs.

Bradley and Crowder are above-average starters.

I think Crowder is probably average. Bradley is definitely above average as a solid scorer, good rebounding guard and elite defensive player. His biggest issue seems to be health.

If Stevens was ever going to move Bradley to the bench it would have been when he came back from his achilles injury. But even then, when on a limits restriction, Bradley still started. Stevens isn't going to move Bradley to the bench to bolster the bench scoring when all he has to do is take Bradley out after starting for 3-4 minutes and then bring him back in when the bench comes in with 2-3 minutes remainging before the end of the first and third periods. People need to stop thinking so black and white and realize the bench scoring problems can be solved with a substitution pattern change rather than a starter being moved to the bench solution.

If Brad would stop messing around and give Smart full-time PG duty with the 2nd unit, then we could replace Rozier with Green's offense, length, and floor spacing.

That gives us a much more balanced bench, and at least 1 player who actually wants to score the ball.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

They are both one of the top 10 starters in the NBA at their respective positions.

I'd rather bring AB off the bench like Havlichek.

Crowder is above average and has a RPM that puts him 7th/30th among starting 3s.

no, BS just needs to manage his minutes better, like take him out after 6 mins and then back for the last 1 or 2 min.
