isaiah every time he goes down is coming up grimacing or limping a bit
then all those trips and head first slides
its time to rest isaiah and crowder
we can't stand a freak injury

give jaylen more time
give green more time
give zeller more time
rozier more time
rest your starters so nobody gets tripped against brooklyn or takes a hard foul

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I agree Rolli he looked very stiff and Scal commented on his lack of ability to create as much separation as he usually can.

Give him the next 2 games off.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I agree.  Rest the starters.  They just got their asses kicked the past two games.  Rest up and get ready for a playoff run. This team is not beating Cleveland any time soon, so lets concentrate on a first round win this season and advancing.  It would be the logical progression.

It's a tough one. Toronto has the tiebreaker, and we do NOT want to run into Milwaukee in the first round..

Let the kids play until we go down by more than 10, then finish the game with the starters, win it, and rest for toronto.

Of course this is all moot if those wonderful Knicks can sneak a win against the Raps tonight!

resting them for 1 game makes sense.

resting for both, I'd wait to see how Cleveland and Washington do before we play again.  We're 2 games up on Washington with 2 to play - want to secure #2 (not sure if we hold the tiebreaker --> if we do, then no problem here).  We're .5 games behind Cleveland for first.  sure we need to be ahead of them to get first but until Cleveland locks that up with another win, I'd play for it.

no need to beat Nets to secure their worst record so that's no longer a concern.

At this point, it's the hope of getting back to the #1 seed that would be the only reason not to rest the starters.

its not just about resting isaiah he has a motor that doesn't quit
but its about healing his hip and all those bang ups they effect his seperation ,his hang time and his foul shooting

even worse the" bad luck card",a turned ankle or sprained wrist
i used to say back in the day, guys get hurt when you play down
-like when talent isn't quite there
a clumsy big ,a fake the guy didn't get, clumsy defense,a body slam screen because of communication, rookies playing ,d leaguers playing all for next year and that stuck out knee or a push in the back going up for board-didn't you guys see isaiah sprawled and avery down at the other end
and worse an injury for not playing your normal game and initiating for holding back
i'll have a heart attack if isaiah ,bradley, crowder or marcus go down

This is not accurate. We're 3 games up on Washington, but only 2 up on Toronto. In addition, if we lose our 2 remaining games, while Toronto wins their 2 remaining ones, they would have the tie-breaker against us. So as it stands we can finish no worse than third, but still have an opportunity to get the #1 seed if the Cavs lose 2 out of their last 3 and we win out.

And that 3 seed is doubly scary. It's probably either Atlanta or Milwaukee. Atlanta just cruised past us and the Cavs, so it's not like they are any easier than the Bucks.

I think this lineup has missed too much time as a complete lineup this season. We need to play these guys together and solidify some momentum and timing and chemistry before the playoffs. Sitting anyone, especially someone as critical as IT, all throw everyone off a bit going into the first round.

Unless someone is legitimately injured, don't sit them.

Unless he is injured, you play him.

We still have realistic shot of finishing first. Cleveland's remaining schedule is brutal. If so, let Toronto or Washington knock them out in 2nd round. Could happen. They looked terrible again vs Atlanta. Kyrie knee bothering him.

You play the starters until the lead or decifit gets huge against the Nets. Then sit the starters and give them the last game off.

Gotta win one more, then all the starters can sit if we want. We need the 2nd seed in a 2nd round matchup against Toronto. It'll be a brutal series for us, we need every advantage we can get

this team doesn't have the luxury of concerning themselves with seeding, they aren't good enough.

lets try to be a lil honest here, in order for this team to say this was a successful season and convince everyone that investing in al horford was the right move they have to make it to Cleveland and have a good showing... like actually be in the series.

yeah getting the top seed would have been great and gone a long way in making that happen. avoiding Toronto, Washington and Cleveland for as long as possible are obvious keys. but they're a luxury this team can't afford, if they're not healthy they definitely aren't getting out of the 1st rnd. WE'VE SEEN THIS, WE KNOW THIS.

It depends on today's games.  If the Raptors lose, absolutely sit guys tomorrow.  If the bench guys beat Brooklyn (which isn't impossible), then you can see if Wednesday's game has a chance of mattering in terms of clinching the conference.

If the Raptors win, I'd play people tomorrow, clinch the two seed, and sit them Wednesday.
