Now I hope the lottery balls work in our favor, and Danny Ainge does not screw up drafting Lonzo Ball or some nobody.

Markelle Fultz is who I want in green!

I was just thinking, "I hope Danny doesn't pull a Cavs/Anthony Bennett on us."

That's why the interview try out  with CBS is so important . I think he was a great recruiter for a small school.and good judge of character . I think CBS is a good judge of Celtic basketball type character .   Guys who really want to work and win and willing to put in the effort .

I was unhappy with Sully , JJJ , Mello .   Low IQ and not so great work ethic ..pre CBS .....based more on skill than character .

That's what bothers me about Ball ,  he did not step up and lead his team when it counted .
against an NBA loaded team .

A lot of success is in the head. .

Celtics could not have done it without the Brooklyn Nets, and all those teams that expended extra effort to beat the Nets this year. Special thanks to the Lakers and the Suns for going against and great risk to their own fortunes to beat teams they had no business beating. Special thanks to the Spurs for out tanking the Lakers in their last meeting. Luke Walton did everything but order a loss in that game, but the Spurs were up to the task by not cooperating with their conference rivals tanking effort.

Great post :)
Celtics fan for life.

I'd like to thank Jeremy Lin...seriously, when he played, the Nets were not bad.

Now, let's draft Josh Jackson, Tatum... or trade the pick. I don't like the riskiness of Ball or Fultz.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I think that's why Ainge was so confident on keeping this pick in trade talks unless he got a really good offer. He doesn't need it to be #1 or #2. The 3rd or 4th pick is fine as I think he really wants Jackson or Tatum, it's just a question of which one of those two. I am leaning towards Tatum, we need more scoring on this roster.

I think I'm on board with drafting Tatum or Jackson, and trading Crowder and Bradley so they dont clog the development of both Tatum/Jackson or Jaylen. Sign Hayward, play Jaylen as the SG and have Jackson/Tatum off the bench for Hayward and backup SG minutes. We can use Bradley and Crowder to build front court depth, we desperately need some rebounding while also clearing cap to resign IT and Smart.

Fultz or Jackson please.

Ideally, we trade Bradley + Crowder for a good center, sign Hayward outright, Zizic is good right away and we draft Fultz, Tatum or Jackson.

Is there any chance that Bradley, Crowder and BK18 gets us Marc Gasol?

I think Tatum definitely addresses more of a need. However, I just think Jackson is the better prospect, so Id rather add him.

Point of your post is the same.

clinching top 4 is huge. We now know that we will be able to add Fultz Jackson Tatum or Ball.

unbelievable.

That seems like a lot to give up for a 32 year old player.

How is Fultz risky? He's probably the safest player in the draft.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

I'm guessing his knees? Have there been any updates?

Who should we send to the Lottery?

Ainge?
Wyc?
Tommy?
Bill Russell?

We need to get lucky finally. I know IT got us exactly what we should have last year (neither good/bad luck), but I sure hope he has a game to play that night.
I'd love to send Tommy because...what if he wins? But it seems like he keeps losing. It's like karma looks at him and says "No. You've had enough success."

Does anyone know if the worst team has ever drafted 4th? I know we drafted 3rd that time we were supposed to have Duncan. Maybe that's as close as it ever came
