The perfect player for Yabu to mold himself into is Blake Griffin. What a turnaround that would be to go from hot garbage at PF.
To having Blake and the #5 prospect from the 2016 draft according to Ford.

If we got the #1 pick and Blake I would flip my lid. Next years potential team.

 Horford Zizic
 Blake Yabu
 Crowder Brown
 Bradley Smart
 Thomas Fultz

That's the best ten man rotation in basketball. 6 veterans and four high upside Young guys. With two of those young guys with the ceiling is the roof type of potential lol.

Either that or swap Griffin with Hayward (Crowder at the 4). Would lose some size and rebounding but we'd be crazy spread out and could run with the wings of GS and Cleveland.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Im pretty confident we cant offer a max to Blake if we have a top 2 pick unless we trade AB or Smart.

Wed have to trade AB for a rookie contract big, or trade Smart for future picks.

If we could do this, I would do it in a heartbeat, but that bench is way too inexperienced, even with Smart. I might push Brown into the starting lineup and put AB or Crowder into the bench to give it some more experience. Even then, its too experienced.

Most talented bench in the NBA though. Wouldnt be all that close.

I love Blake in a vacuum, but his leg injury history, at this young age scares the beejesus out of me.

To lock us in for four years with him is a big risk. Big reward, potentially, but in my opinion not worth the risk compared to other options that may not have as much upside potential, but will substantially improve the team with far less risk.

Hayward, then Milsap are my preferences. Both durable, and Milsap's game will age well as it isn't real reliant on athleticism.

Milsap/Horford would be the perfect mentors for Yabs/Zizic.
