Turner's contributions last season were mostly undervalued around this board but I don't think he'd have been able to do anything about the Cavs getting 1000 easy buckets off backdoor cuts and missed defensive rotations last night.

Rollie, you often overhyped Jerebko and Green throughout the year. Are you now willing to concede that they are below average players?

Jerebko - A stretch 4 that can't shoot (FG 43%, 3pt 33%). He lacks athleticism and it shows with the way he finishes around the basket. When teams go small, like the Cavs did last night, he brings nothing to the table because he has no inside game to match his limited shooting ability.

Green - Jekyll and Hyde player. His off-ball defense is atrocious. He takes a lot of bad shots and often makes such boneheaded plays that makes you wonder what his overall IQ is.

Rozier - Too much side-to-side dribbling. Doesn't take advantage of his athletic ability and attack straight line drives. Still has the mentality of a SG and the ball stops when it's in his hands. That's why Stevens plays him off the ball. I still like his upside, but I definitely want to see him grow in terms of decision making, finishing at the rim, fighting through screens, etc.

The future is exciting, though. We just have to get rid of some of the current garbage (Green, Jerebko, Zeller, Mickey, Young) we have. Zizic, Yabu, Hayward (?), and Fultz (?) are on deck.

jerebko-has lost his 3 point touch never could get to basket,green,green under performed but seems engaged with his teamates
,rozier  i always said goes side to side and spurts,has that wide crossover-so i agree those guys havn't done it-green was advertised as hot or cold but i haven't seen anything in transition,jerebko got stuffed by the rim and just throws up those wild hooks last year, he hit his threes and hustled on defense--now up to 4th quarter on my league pass-maybe nobody wants to get hurt by giving 110%

I agree, we have no one else that can create offense for themselves or anyone else. We need more dribble and drive players to break down the defense for 3's to go down.

I don't blame Turner for taking that much money, it more than sets his family and generations for life.

However, from a strictly basketball perspective it seems like a terrible fit for him. Lillard and Mccollum really have the ball in their hands a ton and one of them is almost always on the floor. Turner is most effective handling the ball to lead the second unit and doesn't seem like he gets to do that here. I don't get what the Blazers were expecting.

No one can generate their own offense on this team besides IT.

Turner could, and it's a reason he was like the 2nd best scorer on the team in the playoffs.

When teams double IT in the playoffs, someone is going to have to actually fill Turner's "shot creating capabilities" for us to have a chance.

You can feed the ball to Horford and go from there, but ultimately a healthy AB and Crowder will need to make a difference, and unlike last night, they will have to knock down the open shots. Period.
