I guess you are talking about the Euroleague

During the same stretch it looks like the points are up in the Turkish league.

I really wouldn't worry too much.

I did find this nice Q and A the Globe did with David Blatt on him though. Sounds very encouraging. He thinks a good comparison for Zizic is Steven Adams. That would great if it materialized.

guys, darrussafaka is one win from playoffs now
-i think it is week 29 and they played yesterday and won
another 10minute stint  in double digits and rebounding
-there were weekly zizic highlites-not now
somebody is taking his minutes  and they are fighting for playoffs
thats why the post ,there are several posters that may have access to european articles -
i have tried from england  and nothing in print talks about his lack of playing time and why

He's playing a very competitive league. And even if he's better than some options as a long term prospect, Coach Blatt needs to think about his team.

Zizic will be gone next year, so they gain nothing from giving him experience. Their probably playing the Vets because their more seasoned and will be with the team again next year.

beantown-i'm well aware of competitive nature zizic was scoring in double digits and rebounding -the last time he played it was 10 minutes and he had 3 offensive boards and 2 defensive-blatt is only concerned in making playoffs blatt needs a win
it was only three weeks ago that zizic was the buzz at darussafaka but all that stopped so abrutly
without any news
-i thought he must have got hurt or somebody took his spot in rotation but have not been able to get any info in print

I understand what you saying, but this is not the time for leting Žižić sit on the bench. The owners invested a lot of money in this year's team and they are catching last train for playoffs. I just don't see logic in taking such risk playing without Žižić.

Rollie, if you click here you can see Zizic's game log:

http://basketball.realgm.com/player/Ante-Zizic/GameLogs/49134

Click on the date of each game and you will see the box score.

Short answer: Furkan Aldemir is taking his minutes.

If don't know whether you can read too much into it though. The coach really seems to vary minutes based on matchups. Look at Adrien Moerman, their other big:

http://basketball.realgm.com/player/Adrien-Moerman/GameLogs/15374

He often goes from 30+ to 8-10 minutes, game to game. And he looks to be the small-ball center (or PF if Moerman is the C).

From what I see, Aldemir, Moerman and Zizic appear to be sort of platooning. Maybe others who are more familiar with the team can help.

Zizic is significantly better free throw shooter than Adams, which means a better chance of becoming a 3 point threat down the road.  But the physicality of the two are similar.  Zizic is probably longer, Adams a little taller.

Darüşşafaka has been fighting for a playoff spot. And when push becomes the shove, for all of his talents Zizic is still kinda raw and inexperienced - hence the decreased playing time.

Also, their players with the best form are Brad Wanamaker and Will Clyburn right now. These guys need spacing as going to the rim is what they excel at. Zizic not having an outside shot led Adrien Moerman being utilized more. Zizic had 10 and Aldemir had 6 minutes last night.

A bit off topic...is Zizic much of a shot blocker? Most of the highlights I've seen show him rebounding and scoring  near the basket.

He is 12th in blocks per game and 18th in blocks per 40 minutes in Euroleague. I'd say average, considering there are 16 teams in Euroleague. Eye test also feels like that for me.
