Booker is legit...he had a great night, in a game that his teams number one concern was seeing how many points he could score. Indeed, his arm must be tired.

What bothered me was, who the heck was defending him? We're they incapable of containing him at all? And why? Did they really care?

Are the Celtics that weak of a defensive team, specifically in the backcourt?

Bradley was out sick, Jaylen got a number of fouls on him quickly and was out of the equation, and then the refs just started calling fouls for Booker like he was Michael Jordan.

Agree on all of the above and it did seem like Jaylen was giving Devin more problems than anyone else that guarded him. For some reason Marcus seemed a little slow against Devin so this would have been a good game for AB to have guarded him but I don't really care as long as we get th W.

Respect to Booker for the achievement and I realize the game was never competitive, so Stevens and the players never got too concerned with stopping him, but letting something like this happen on your home court is a bad sign.  It's one thing when it's Jordan in the playoffs.  It's something else when you are playing one of the worse teams in the league.

On a night where the game is totally out of hand, I don't mind a team trying to give the fans a different kind of show.

From the Celtics perspective, a win is a win and as long as the game was never in jeopardy (I missed it, but it seems like that was the case) then what does it matter if one individual player scores a lot of points?

I am a little surprised that there wasn't a little more individual pride in Celtic players in wanting to contain someone having a big night. But that doesn't concern me given the game was well in hand.

I find all the gnashing of teeth over the Suns doing what they could to get Booker 70 in an out of reach game hilarious.  Watch the last minute or so of Bird's 60 point game.  That game was out of reach, yet Bird was in the game shooting away, and the Celtics were doing everything they could to get him more shots, including purposely fouling players so that the C's could get the ball back.

I'm just looking at that box score now. The same game Robert Parish had 19 rebounds, Danny Ainge had 13 assists and Dennis Johnson had 17 assists!

And yeah, Bird was 22/36 (.611) so that's pretty [dang] good. He also only took four 3's and made jus 1. 15/16 from the line.

Kind of surprised many people are "salty" about it.

Yes, it was stat padding at the end, but 70 points is still impressive (and he had reached 50 before the fouls and drawn out timeouts happened).

But IT, Crowder, Green didn't seem to like it, and even reports like Forsberg felt salty about it.

TD Garden crowd even cheered lol (which I thought was funny too but others felt offended by it).
