Yabu's highlights from last game.

Thanks TP

He is a train, when he gets moving.  I don't think he is much of an elite leaper injury or not.  But he is so strong he can hold his position well and fling guys around. Bayfat will always be a problem for him somewhat.

That is why they call him the "Dancing Bear".

I trust him more.

Was Steve Bulpett at the game, because I saw NO sign of him there and it is a pretty intimate little arena that barely holds 2200 of there about???

I would tend to trust someone that was actually there IN PERSON.

Smitty77

I will put Steve Bulpett's knowledge of players, assessment of games, and all things Celtics basketball above Smitty77's, whether live or in-person or from Mars, every day of the week for the rest of my life.

Everyone, including you mctyson, has a right to be WRONG:-))))

I am a LEGEND in my OWN MIND:-)))

 Yabu's highlights from last game.

 https://youtu.be/xz_bzliH9xo

This was nice to see how fluid he looked only being with the team for a Week(?). Nice jump shot,a and love how he crashes the boards. Hopefully he can bring this to NBA games and not do what Young did, and look good in D-League, but struggle in the big show.

I'm not sure what Smitty77 was talking about. I've gone through some recent pics, and he's not "fat", thick, but not fat. He could trim up a bit and get a chef to make sure his body stays right, he does have that body type that could go down hill fast. But he's no wheres near Big Baby or Sully fat. If they were his size we would have been dancing in the streets. He's never going to be skinny, he's always going to be thick, like Larry Johnson, or Anthony Mason.

I can see why they drafted him though, a guy who can rebound, shoot the out side shot and take the ball up the floor. Looking forward to summer league this year!

I don't know if I'll explain myself properly, but Yabusele, more than being fat or thick, has a peculiar body morphology. Going into detail, it has to do with his butt (sorry if it's a bad word). There are some players that has this part of the body seemingly more separated from the upper part, more rounded.

That's what happens with Yabusele. Looking at him from his front part, he doesn't seem thick at all, but the problem is that you watch him mainly running (the master camera is on one side of the court), and you are inclined to see him fat as a whole, though he isn't. He has more distance from his belly to his bottom than a normal physionomy (Anthony Mason is another good example), but he can't do nothing about it. Sully or Glen Davis were chubby, Yabusele isn't. It's just his body.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
He looks great. Is he overweight or just an enormous Sullinger build kinda guy?

side note. Jordan Mickey looks ENORMOUS! He has been living in the weight room, holy mother of god.

His Butt is a rebounding weapon. He is incredibly strong and physical inside. He takes very hard hits like mosquito bites and the number of defenders and opposing players that go flying when they challenge him for a rebound is comical.
An absolute beast of a man.

He's like a fitter version of Big Baby Davis crossed with Boris Diaw crossed with Draymond Green.

Ok let's bring some reality to this.

In my opinion he's a mix of BBD, Diaw and Sully. He could be a piece to a title but

If he improves his weight I think he can become Draymond Green

He doesn't have the leaping ability or tenacity of Barkley.

Just my opinion but until I see him against better competition where the intensity is ramped up, this is worse defense than I see in college.

He's got a Sullinger butt but not a Sullinger gut.

I don't think he makes the roster to start off next season. He needs some more seasoning.

But, the C's summer league team is going to be straight fire: Brown,  Zizic, Yabusele, 17 lotto pick.

Ford just ranked Yab as the 4th best prospect drafted in 2016, ahead of Brown, Ingram, and Chriss.   Both Pelton and Ford have Zizic as the 5th best prospect and both of them have Zizic ahead of Brown, Ingram, and Chriss.  Kinda Weird!

Probably Jackson too.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

My kind of weird.

Jackson, Nader and I think Rozier will be on that SL team as well.

Very interesting! According to Ford, we have 3 of top 7 players if a redraft was done based on potential
