Question: What do we know about Austin Ainge, other than that he is Danny's son? Let me be clear, I'm not saying that this is nepotism, but I am curious about his qualifications for a job that has a fair amount of responsibility. There seem to be a lot of Austins around the NBA who get hired to work/play for their fathers.

Mike

He played for BYU, has been a scout for quite awhile.

I love me some Zizic. He's like Perk only with skills and I loved Perk..

The article mentioned that Zizic reminds Blatt of OKC's Steven Adams.

Now that would be stupendous!

Steven Adams was always my comp for Zizic. That would be more than solid for this team.

Zizic starting to remind me of a younger, longer, better rebounding Al Horford. I see him taking over Al's role in team in a few years. Just when Horford contract is expiring. By then Zizic should have decent 3 point shot.

Zizic and Yabu will give Celtics a much need physicality in frontcourt.
I agree. I expect they replace Jerebko and Zeller so C's won't ask a lot from them early on.

I don't expect Yab until 2018.

I have my doubts that he will ever contribute, at all.

Played on a bad team in the french 2nd division, then went to China. Everything I've seen from him so far is against 4th-rate competition, at best.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I watch Zizic about once a week currently... Not sure if he is as agile as Adams (albeit close) but I think Zizic is a better finisher under the rim than Adams. Their 1v1 defense, rebounding and toughness is similar. By the way I recall Zizic dished out a cool pass from high post to low post in a recent game and it wasn't a one time incident, so it isn't like he is a black hole in offense either, but he will need time to get used to NBA tempo.

well, to at least increase the pool of suspects stats, there is this:

not great, but not chopped liver either. he outscored ben simmons and was close to him in rebounds.

As I have said in multiple other threads, rate Yabu on what you would expect from someone at #16: a regular- to fringe rotation player.  If he becomes a starter then it is a great career for a guy in the late lottery.
