How do you land Butler AND PG13 without decimating this current roster and treasure chest of assets?

And how do you make it all work under the cap for years to come? Then we have no bench depth..
I think you reasonably could have done it as you would get some players back in those trades and still would have had Horford and Thomas plus 1 of Smart, Bradley, Crowder and likely KO and Rozier.  Clearly team would have lost depth but it would have been possible and would have still had enough depth to be an issue for the Cavs.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

From the numbers I've seen, I don't know how you could add two big salaries without waiving or trading almost everybody else except IT and Horford. Doesn't seem practical. The main selling points are those Nets picks--that's what Indy and Chicago want.

The fact that Ainge did nothing at the trade deadline suggests to me he has a FA already in his pocket this summer. That could be Hayward. He is just biding his time. In contrast, you have the Champion Cavs scurrying around trying to add players.

8 guys that can play, and 7 more that cheer like crazy.  Could've been done.
