Judging from what we saw from RJ and Young in the previous year(s) I thought Ulis would have been a major upgrade over either of them. And, hoped the Celtics would take a chance on him. I was disappointed they didn't pick him at 16 or 23 and upset they didn't select him at 30. It's likely that Yabu and Ante will be better selections. But, to pass on him at 30 was ludicrous. 

The responses to my posts on him were lukewarm to mostly nil. Still can't get over how few posters on this blog appreciate(d) his game. Same with many of the GM's that passed on him. Maybe that has changed after tonight?

He was one of my favorite guards out of the draft last season. Largely the reason for Kentucky's success last season. I wouldn't be surprised if he is the best point guard in this draft within a few years.

Maybe Baldwin but thats a stretch. Either one of the Murrays can give Tyler a run for his money.

Not so impressed, although he will be a role player in the league, I think.

He is getting a lot of minutes in a losing team and his previous career high was less than 15 points. And well, he got his career high against Isaiah.

He looks like he'll stick in the NBA but he's not good enough that I'm losing any sleep over not drafting him.

Also, we don't have roster slots. We flipped that pick into a future asset for precisely that reason.

Not sure he'll even stick in the NBA.  A more interesting story imo is Yogi Ferrell.  Guy went undrafted, signed a 10-day contract in DAL when D. Will went down again, and by the end of 10 days had negotiated a 2-year deal.  Now Rookie of the Month.

Hard to project Dunn at this point. Defensively Dunn will probably be adequate, could probably rack up decent blocks, steals, and rebound numbers. He's rather limited offensively however, doesn't get much assists, and his shooting is horrible.

Playing alongside Rubio, Lavine, Wiggins, and KAT will probably stunt his develop over the next few years if he isnt traded.

I'm not surprised by opposing point guards scoring lots of points against us, regardless of the player.

That's just a given with how our roster is constructed.

He has out performed....expectations.    He has the confidence of the GM and head coach.    Good for him.   I think he has all the tools.  Even the announcers said he has great potential.   Better defender than IT thats 100% for sure.

You got so lucky autodrafting him. I was going to pick him up at #38 if that wasn't the case. :(

it seems a bit reactionary to put Ulis over Dunn less than a season into their careers. Especially considering Ulis is averaging 4 point and 2 assists in 11 mpg for the lowly Suns.

Hes performing well for an early second round pick.

Lets pump the breaks on declaring him better than a consensus top 8 pick.
