It just shows how important Horford is to this team.
Remember how bad we were when he was out.

Can someone explain to me what happened on that last play? I've watched the replay a few times and I just can't figure it out. Was it a bad inbounds pass? Did IT just bobble it? Was it the Phoenix defender that happened to be in the right position?

I guess what I'm asking is, was it as sloppy as it looked to my eye? I know it's a March game against a bottom feeder but you can't be that sloppy in the final seconds of any game.

Here's how I saw it:
4 seconds left on the clock. No timeouts for either team. IT split a pair of free throws and Bledsoe just ran the length of the court, lost Rozier on a screen, blew by Crowder and hit an acrobatic layup to tie the game.

IT and Smart both called for the ball. Phoenix fell into a soft full court press, not really pressuring the catch.

Crowder inbounded it easily to Thomas. IT, knowing there's limited time left on the clock, didn't catch the ball immediately. Instead, he was content to let it pass by him so he could get a running start and try get the clock to start as late as possible. The ball bounced past him casually and Chriss tried to make a play. IT, seeing the active defender, dashed towards the ball but it was too late. Both players ran into each other and there was a scramble. The ball popped loose and bounced towards Ulis.

You know the rest....

I went to bed at halftime. This says it all.

I was fed up with Zeller's attitude and softness, Olynyk is a rolling dice each game, Isaiah's guarded man was a career high at halftime, Jaylen was absolutely ignored by his teammates and I could keep it, but I don't want  >:(

The end of the game was a good metaphore of the night (evening, for you). And still there are people talking nonsense about Horford.

So shines a good deed in a weary world....

Living in Phoenix I can tell you it was a TERRIBLE loss. The Suns are absolutely abysmal this year and they owned is on the boards. This was like the best win of the season for the Suns, it's all over the radio.

Celtics seriously need to be ashamed of that effort. BEYOND HORRIFIC..

So many people love to talk negatively about Al Horford, but they always play much worse without him.

Bradley and Horford missing the game does hurt us.

Sure the C's played poorly last night, but I'm willing to give them a break granted they were down 2 starters.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

They shot terrible from the field, terrible from the line and down 2 starters and still came back and had a chance to win. That is the positive we can take from it and move on. The next 3 games though are crucial in the standings. I think we really need the 2 seed and can't settle for the 3 seed.

Ainge left the Celtics vulnerable to injury, especially Horford, when he did nothing at the trade deadline.

I'm speculating he has a FA in the bag this summer--could be Hayward--and has elected to tread water this season, to keep the books clear. Just a hunch.

Amir Johnson was a plus 8 and Mickey was a plus 5.
Interior defense counts.

Jaylen had a good night at everything other than his fts. 14/6/3 on 50% from the field and only 1 turnover isn't shabby for a rook. But missing those 5 freethrows hurt his overall good night.

And I think all of his points came in the second half. Hopefully this is a learning moment for him to see that he can be a star in the NBA but he needs to go out and take control. He's still a rookie so there's plenty of time for him to learn but he needs to be aggressive to reach his potential.
