Well, we don't know about Simmons yet, he will likely be better, but so far Brown has been above all the other 2016 draftees imo. Bender got hurt, and may still have a high upside once he develops, but Brown is also young and has shown much more already.

Murray and Heild look good, but I don't see flashes of greater potential in either of those two.

I dont watch games any more, only highlights due to being from London and travelling. But don't most people have Saric, ingram and brogdon above brown?
Brown looks much better but doesn't play much compared to the others and scores less.

Most boards I see has Brown and Chriss around the same level bellow Saric and Brogdon on the rookie ladder now that embiid is out.

Again, I don't watch much so I'm just relaying what I see on most boards, stats and social media.


Brown does look like a stud. Probably the only celtic I exclusively youtube for highlights, the rest I see in the game highlights. Put him on any of the tanking teams and I could see him getting ROY. But maybe its the Celtics culture and work ethic that has him performing at this level. Having to step up as we are going for a playoff run.

In the context of Brown has to play REAL minutes .....meaningful minutes .....unlike Lakers tanking team ,they are playing pick up street type ball , sort of a D league atmosphere .  Their hi draft picks play a ton ....and playing a ton you eventually score points for a losing cause.   Lakers and Philly teaches HOW to be good losers first ....losing to dream about winning though the draft is a morale back breaker for the youngsters.

Jalen is somewhat like Smart ......even if he isn't posting fancy stats ,  he IMPACTS the game in positive way with his IQ and hustle .

It's hard to argue he is not at least part of why the Celtics have a winning team.
