Yes, although it's also a bit misleading.  It doesn't necessarily mean that if we rebounded better (likely at the expense of other things) we would win more games, but only that when we beat opposing teams at our main weakness we win almost every time (which is unsurprising).  It likely also gets impacted by how well we/our opponents are shooting, since hot shooting nights for us mean less opportunities for defensive rebounds by our opponent, and likewise cold shooting nights by our opponent would mean more opportunities for us to get defensive rebounds (and since ~75% of rebounds league-wide are defensive rebounds, that could have a large effect)

I'd love to see how the stats worked out for games where we got a higher TRB% than our opponent rather than just raw rebounding numbers to try and remove some of those other factors

Edit: Just looked it up and we are 18-1 according to that statistic because that's how TRB% works and I should have realized that.  Adjusting for just DRB% (technically using ORB% because I can't search by DRB%, but because 1 minus the opponent's ORB% gives you your DRB%, it works out the same) gives 21 games, and a 15-6 record in those games, which is less impressive than the original number, but still works out to a better win rate (0.714) than we currently have (0.639)

Actually, the Cavs had more rebounds, if you count the team rebounds. Something like 56-51, or thereabouts.

The argument, by the way, that rebounding detracts from the offense, is nonsensical.
Rebounding is obviously an integral part of the offense and defense. You have to get the ball to score.

The best teams have a balance of all the key parts of the game. They have rebounders. The Celtics aren't quite there yet.

Rebounding detracts from offense if you get guys like Mozgov, who are terrible offensively, to fix your rebounding.  Obviously if you have guys who are great at offense and are also good rebounders, you're a step ahead.  Those guys are called superstars.
