Loss to Atlanta disappointing...didn't the Celtics lose to them last year in the playoffs?  Yes Hawks 4-2 series win (had to go back and look it up...)

Tonight will be a good test vs the Cavs.  Not believing the C's will win tonight but hopeful for a good game.

Still think the Celts will have trouble in the playoffs again this year.   Would have liked to have seen them get George especially.  They need help up front on defense and rebounding.

Yeah. Agree. As much as I want to believe,  we were killed last year by the hawks. It wasn't really that close. We made bazemore and Mike Scott look awesome . Then we took horford. They lost korver and teague and added a supposedly done Howard. And they still beat us.  It's troubling.

And the same Hawks team that was mangled by the Magic which we annihilated...merry go round isn't it?

Thing is this...come playoff time this team must up their game and perhaps we will truly see IT's worth if he can live up to his allstar status.

We are 1-2 post allstar break and we may be in for another loss tonight so the teamjust really got to keep its focus...im hoping we can send the Cavs a message tonight that the first seed is still up for grabs but the way we played against the Hawks was not the way to impress Lebron.

[dang] you had to look up who knocked us out of the playoffs last year?

It was one loss, a loss where the refs swallowed their whistles and allowed our players to be fouled constantly and a loss where we shot like crap. It was just a regular season. no biggie.

I think IT will get a lot of calls in playoffs. That's how it works. Plus we have been dreadful from outside lately. I expect we will get back on track. Pretty confident we will win first round.

i don't mind a single loss in the regular season. i do get nervous about the playoffs, though. we need somebody to show up to take some of the pressure off IT. Hopefully, Bradley's okay.

disappointing if you don't see this team for what they are.

This is a boohoo knee jerk reaction that drives people nuts. These games happen, it's why there are 82 games. Celts shot horrible and were in it until the 4th. Against Toronto, DeRozen had to score 40+ and IT had a bad game.

Yes we need a second go to scorer for the playoffs, some one needs to step up in the next two months. But it's not like we are playing bum teams. If you look at 2 through 5, BOS/WASH/TOR/ATL, all those teams are a toss up on who's better. Maybe Atlanta is the worst of the bunch, but play big. So when you lose to a team you're in a dog fight with in the standings, and your a team that is year 4 of the rebuild and you're fighting for the second seed and the picks you got for the rebuild has barely come into play. Your sitting pretty good. Yes I want to get to the second round, but if thats it, I'm fine, thats a step forward.

And I'm not a fan of gutting a team for one piece that MAY get you to the EFC. I'd rather do it during the summer when it may be cheaper and easier to add bench players, and have an off season for them to get to know each other instead of one the fly during the season.

This loss is a best thing to happen, especially for Thomas. He's now forcing less and making more better plays.

Loss to Atlanta and everybody are like: i'm so dissapointed, fire Danny, we should have made a trade...

Now after beating Cavs no one is saying anything. My point is that people overreact and don't have patience. One loss and they feel like the ship is sinking.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I think the Cavs game showed how good we can be and the Hawks loss showed how easily we can become a middle of the road team when we don't execute and don't play with defensive intensity.

We are finally healthy and in 25 games time we'll be right up there with Toronto and Washington fighting for the opportunity to test ourselves against the Cavs in the ECF.

Jayken Brown's emergence during Avery's recovery has been a huge boost for our playoff hopes and very very relieving sigh has been let out in good fortune as it looks like Danny really nailed this pick.

We have a truly special prospect on both ends of the floor.
People are whining about not adding depth, but I dont care if it means Jaylen gets more court time.

I'm seriously on the Brown wagon.
All abooooooaaaardd! Choooo chooooo
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

If we hit our 3s, we win.
If we miss our 3s, we lose.
