we say us, probably everyone else says no.

Chicago might say yes.

Ultimately trades this large and complex dont happen. Especially not during the season.

Only comparable trade I can remember is the Dwight Howard megadeal.

Congratulations, the Boston Celtics will be winning the 2016-2017 NBA Championship with that roster.

It's a dream scenario roster lol.

Thanks! TP to you!

Wow.

You just assembled an NBA championship contender.

Thanks! TP to you too!

Glad to finally see some people backing this trade idea here. I really thought we would get more people drooling on this possibility!

This trade idea has the potential to be :

- Doable
(at least in the realm of possible and in line with recent trade rumors)

- Triumphant
(giving us a great competitive team that could make us play in June for the next few years!)

Whatever people say, non super star rentals shouldn't cost more than a young prospect plus a 1 first rd pick... Anything more than that without a guarantee of the player signing is a bad move.

I'm ready to give one non-BKN late first rounder each for Ibaka and Noel if needed but got the feeling a bunch of 2nd rounders would do the trick...
Again we have TOO MANY PICKS and not enough roster spots so instead of wasting 1st round picks like we did with RJ Hunter because of roster space, lets consolidate now for a chance to built a very strong team!!

That team has very few holes and will still be adding 3 rookies plus a top pick in 2018!!

I see a Game 7 vs the Cavs in the ECF and with a little bit of luck and break here and there pushing the Warriors to the limit (we have played them extremely close for the past 3 years or so overall!)

It wouldn't even be a 7-game series between the Cavs and Celtics in the ECF. With Kevin Love having a concerning injury...the Celtics will demolish the Cavs in 5 games in the ECF WITH THAT ROSTER. Man, imagine the front-court having multiple field days. And don't forget, ya still got IT4, Crowder, Butler, Smart, and Brown who can score and play D. That is one unfathomable squad.

I mean its entirely unrealistic and would never ever happen. Other than that, Orlando and Philly both say no, and honestly Chicago might too.

Also, Im pretty sure noel doesnt have an umlaut.

What do you think Orl and Phi would get for 2-3 month rentals..? I could throw a young players plus a 1st rd pick at each... who else would do that for a rental...?

If this is all Philly can get for Noel, then they won't trade him. It makes no sense. As for Ibaka, this is ludicrous. You are giving him away for free.

Ok they can go in a bidding war in the summer and give them near max money to stay out of the playoff picture! If they are smart enough they would cash in before those two players would for FREE or make them commit too much many for no results!

I set this trade idea making resonnable assumptions that :

- Nobody gives more than a 1st rd pick plus a young player for a Non Star Expiring rental player
- Ibaka is old enough to want to go to a winning team this summer (Orl would lose him for FREE)
- If Chicago realizes they aint going anywhere and choose the rebuilt road, AB is the closest to Butler production on both ends of the floor, nobody might give them a better pick than at the deadline than us, getting Okafor back home is a good building block...

Now I realize Phila might decide to keep Noel committing a lot of money to a bench player (when Embid and Simmons are healthy) and that's fine! He would would have been coming off the bench for us as well... Anyways, Zizic could do the trick there...

I also realize Chicago could get a better deal but trading a good player to a team that is losing many of their good players is also pointless... Anyways, Hayward could be our prize in the summer if we can sell him on a reunion...

In any case, nothing I suggested is out of this world and we can still field a great team without those specific players... Just need to help our chances with shot blocking and rebounding as well as another go to scorer...

none of it individually is "out of this world" but all of it coming together in one deal is entirely unrealistic.

Yes i realize that... tried to do 3 separate deals but would have to first get Okafor and Noel and then send Okafor to Chicago... This is a more difficult proposition... I think Orlando and Ibaka could be done separately...

With the trade made for Ibaka today by Toronto you see why deal wouldn't have moved the needle don't you?  It takes quality to get quality...
