This is a deal I would consider BKN 17 for...

Dt really need a point guard (flutz or ball) and the best fit to me in this draft is Lauri Markkanen who is not a top 4 pick on any draft board so.... plus zizic, yabusele and Nader coming anyways! Let's get our team now and pay our players with the money this summer...

4 teams trade :  http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=jhxgofs

Bos Receives:

Butler from Chicago
(who is getting Avery Bradley and Okafor and most likely the number 1 pick (plus 1 young shooter )

Noël from Philadelphia
(who is getting a good young point guard from Chicago plus a young center from Orlando, plus Amir and one non bkn unprotected 1st rounder plus a second rounder)

Ibaka from Orlando
(who is getting two early 2nd rounders plus Mickey and Zeller. Could give them a protected 1st if needed...)

Adjust fillers and picks as needed....

We go for it this year and see who of Ibaka, noel and Olynyk fits us better for money this summer...

Thomas Rozier Jackson
Butler Smart Green
Crowder Jaylen Nader
Ibaka Olynyk Jerebko
Horford Noël Bogut? (After buyout ?)

No need for Hayward or Griffin anymore.
Bunch of two ways players plus IT.
Shot blocking and rebounding upgraded.
Second go to scorer added for play off run.
Nobody would want to face that team in the playoffs.

Pay players according to playoff production this summer and go over luxury tax if needed as we will have everyone rights  (if we deliver in June and all of them contributed or have shown enough  of course...)

What you guys think...?

I mean its entirely unrealistic and would never ever happen. Other than that, Orlando and Philly both say no, and honestly Chicago might too.

Also, Im pretty sure noel doesnt have an umlaut.

It's a diaeresis, which indicates a pronunciation of "No-el" as opposed to "nol".  His name doesn't technically have one, because that mark is going out of fashion (no one spells it "naïve" any more.)

No way Chicago says yes to that trade. They would want a lot more than just Avery and Jahlil Okafor for Butler.

As I understand, they also get the Brooklyn 1st this year, which can be a nº1 overall.

Very complex trade, I'd prefer to wait. Cleveland and especially GSW would be above us in a series.

What do you think Orl and Phi would get for 2-3 month rentals..? I could throw a young players plus a 1st rd pick at each... who else would do that for a rental...?

Congratulations, the Boston Celtics will be winning the 2016-2017 NBA Championship with that roster.

It's a dream scenario roster lol.

But wow, so we gave max money to Al Horford for nothing, if we are getting Serge Ibaka and Nerlens Noel back?

If this is all Philly can get for Noel, then they won't trade him. It makes no sense. As for Ibaka, this is ludicrous. You are giving him away for free.

I don't mind that. All that does is mean we have a strong frontcout  8)

None of the teams other than Boston would do these deals.

Chicago won't want Bradley (because he's only signed for another year).  If they're dealing Butler they're rebuilding so it's going to be Crowder, Smart or Brown plus a Brooklyn Pick ( I would push for the 2018 Pick if I have to give up Smart or Brown).

Orlando would laugh.  They want a good young player plus a #1 (I think that may be a little high but at least an unprotected#1.  Mickey and Zeller aren't worth much and 2 #2's?  Yeah right, remember Toronto is getting pressure from Lowry to do something at the 4 spot, if not he can leave (he has an opt out) plus Houston may be interested in Ibaka....

The Nets have Cap Space and can match any offer they get for Noel next year (who's an RFA). so it will take a  first round pick plus Rozier IMO.   Zimmerman hasn't proven anything and the Bulls don't have a good young PG to trade (that's why they want one in this draft).

The Celtics don't need to trade for both Ibaka and Noel, just one or the other....

Thanks! TP to you!

Thanks! TP to you too!

Glad to finally see some people backing this trade idea here. I really thought we would get more people drooling on this possibility!

This trade idea has the potential to be :

- Doable
(at least in the realm of possible and in line with recent trade rumors)

- Triumphant
(giving us a great competitive team that could make us play in June for the next few years!)

Whatever people say, non super star rentals shouldn't cost more than a young prospect plus a 1 first rd pick... Anything more than that without a guarantee of the player signing is a bad move.

I'm ready to give one non-BKN late first rounder each for Ibaka and Noel if needed but got the feeling a bunch of 2nd rounders would do the trick...
Again we have TOO MANY PICKS and not enough roster spots so instead of wasting 1st round picks like we did with RJ Hunter because of roster space, lets consolidate now for a chance to built a very strong team!!

That team has very few holes and will still be adding 3 rookies plus a top pick in 2018!!

I see a Game 7 vs the Cavs in the ECF and with a little bit of luck and break here and there pushing the Warriors to the limit (we have played them extremely close for the past 3 years or so overall!)

Like someone else said if we keep waiting for Lebron to retire or the warriors era to be over than some other super player or team will come  and we will have to wait some more... lets push them to the exist ourselves with such a strong, talented, gritted team that can go punch for punch against anybody!
