Talked to a couple of my physical therapists friends today and they gave some interesting insight. For ACL tears, they usually take grafts from the patellar tendon but since it's a re-injury, they'd likely take a graft from the hamstring. Both of them were skeptical about his long term career and agreed that a tear to the other knee would've actually been a better prognosis. One of them seemed hesitant about his ability to return long term and remarked that he's going to be in a lot of medical journals if he does return and has an impactful career.

TP for the insight.

Even without the medical background I would be shocked if he is ever a starter level player in the NBA. I feel bad for him and I have never heard anything about him being a jerk.

Meh.  C'est la vie.

Yeah, Parker's a Mormon.

I think it is rare that any NBA player fully recovers from any ACL tear, and certainly not from an Achilles tear.  Unfortunately for Parker he is so young that Milwaukee never would have traded him for simply having that history, but in reality that would have been the smart play.  It is the main reason why Danny let Tony Allen walk, and traded Perkins and Rondo.

For all you Embiid psychos out there...be VERY careful.
What does Embiid have to do with it?  He hasn't had an ACL or Achilles tear.  His 2nd foot surgery was the same as Durant's.  Both Durant and Embiid have performed great after their recoveries.

Made me laugh a little -- pretty sure you were joking; not that he is a Mormon, but that being a Mormon would preclude him from being a jerk.
