Bad news: MRI shows JaBari Parker has torn his ACL again, league sources say. Official update from Bucks expected shortly.

Same knee, too. Any previous players come back from re-tearing the same ACL?

EDIT: I think he returns to the court, but I'm curious as to how much this hampers his game moving forward.

That's terrible.  He was starting to look like the future star that he was drafted as.

Real good question is how many NBA players have come back from back to back ACL tears?

Sad story but is a good lesson for fans that just because you draft a player high in the draft doesn't mean you have drafted a future superstar. Anything can happen.

Parker seems like a good kid. Wish him luck in his recovery, rehab and attempt to come back. Its going to be real tough

Really good question.  Just remember that treatment has improved in recent years and some guys are coming back as quickly as 6-7 months.  If I were Parker though, I would take it real slow.  Real shame.

Harry Giles is hoping for some inspiring answers.

That said, reinjury isn't that common to begin with, and as sports medicine has dramatically advanced in the past 20 years, the sample size won't be that large one way or the other, I'd think.

sorry for the kid...THIS is exactly why building through the draft is tough. if you hang your hats on youth, and something like this happens, your organization is basically screwed.

I say trade the pick for a legit superstar.

I feared this when I saw the injury last night, but was hopeful that he'd escape with a minor injury. Unfortunately, the basketball world is not so lucky. Just heartbreaking.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Huge bummer.

That Bucks team seems like it's not meant to be.

I know it's now cliché to say, but it's got to effect the mental game if not the physical.  How can it not after a recurrence?

Playing devils advocate here, but aren't veterans injury prone as well? Granted rookies in particular are a little prone due to not knowing the game, and not being ready for the physicality.

Michael Redd comes to mind, but he was never the same after the second one.
