Seriously curious.
Would IT demand to be the pg?  Does he step aside for a rookie, or do the Celtics just bury Fultz on the bench like they have JB?  Therefore stunting the growth of not one but two high lottery picks....

Better to ask the other way around.
Could Fultz play with IT?
As a general rule:
If a player can shoot, on off screens and spot ups, and defend his position, he can play with just about anybody.

The way IT has evolved since the playoffs into a quick strike player and a 3 point threat off the ball he can play with anyone now.

I don't think we will keep the pick.
Too bad we get a high pick, in a Point Guard heavy draft.
There are very good point guards all over the NBA...

Buried? He's played the 10th most minutes for rookies (on a playoff contender), and taken the 8th most field goal attempts - admittedly more than had Bradley been healthy, but still...

IT wouldn't have to step aside either, Fultz would come off the bench and play as a two (to begin with).

I guarantee you that Brown and Rozier will get more minutes than Fultz if he was drafted here.

That's if he even beats Bradley on the rotation which I doubt he would. Rozier might even get the nod before he does.

I really don't think Rozier is some sort of a dam for a future NBA 1st pick. Good scrimmage competition, sure, but not much more. TR was out of the rotation just a few weeks back.
And Bradley is our most expendable veteran guard.

Yes. Both can play both on and off ball. Fultz needs to develop as a defender (physically, he should be capable) for it to be a viable pairing, though.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Who knows. Rozier is a good defender and starting to get his groove back. Im saying this because people are quick to crown these lottery picks as superstars. I'd like to see how the draft pans out first before declaring someone as an AB replacement. Fultz would have to be really well polished defensively coming out from college to even wear Bradley's jockstrap. Jaylen was pretty raw defensively, but you can clearly see the effort.

Playing with IT means covering his (Isaiah's) defensive deficiencies.

Nope = both too ball-dominant. Both need to be King of their own Castle. The main man.

Nobody else will get a touch with those two guys in the same backcourt. Both guys have a heavy selfish streak. Both guys define themselves by their scoring (rather than helping teammates in multiple  or other ways). The offense will turn into a "his turn, my turn" situation.

I have no idea what Isaiah Thomas you've been watching this year to say he has heavy selfish streak.  He takes a lot of shots, but they're absolutely within the offense.  Not to mention he plays off the ball on a lot of possessions.  He's 18th amongst 30 starting point guards in terms of average seconds per touch (and behind a ton of backup PG too).  He's pretty much average in terms of ball-dominance for a PG, because that's how virtually all NBA teams, outside of Golden State, run their offense.

Can't speak for Fultz, because any possession on Washington in which he doesn't have the ball most of the time is a bad possession for Washington, due to the level of talent he's playing with.  Maybe it wouldn't be a good fit, but there's really no way for anyone on this board to know.  He's got the skill set to be able to play either guard position -- it's a question of willingness, which can't be answered right now.

Tough to say until we see it in action. Isaiah is a great shooter and Fultz seems pretty good too. I think people underestimate how much that helped the Big Three, because it allows them to be good scorers even on weak side kick outs. The inability to shoot well is also what hurt other Big Three combos like Olajuwon, Barkley, and Pippen (or even when Payton played with Kobe, Shaq, and Malone) in LA.

Regardless of the fit, Ainge should still draft the best player available and figure out how to make it work later. Worse case we trade one of them.
