Sorry if a thread like this has been started but I just want to share my experience from the Clips game.

That was the most emotional I've ever been while watching a game. Usually games leave me elated or furious but it was different today. It was that bittersweet mix of goodbye and triumph, kinda like when your favorite book or movie is ending? That moment he was introduced in the starting lineup had me sobbing. And when he hit that final 3? Again, I was in tears.

Hands down my fave player of all time. My hero growing up. The Captain, the Truth.

Thank you Paul, and I'll see you when #34 goes up in the rafters.

Same. Having grown up watching the big 3, Paul was my idol growing up and the player I tried to model my game on as a kid. My favorite player ever to watch without question. I was holding back tears during the intros and whenever they showed him on the screen or when the crowd chanted his name. As for that last 3... chills.

I thought you were talking about the Pats Superbowl win. Watching Pierce choked me up a bit but I was truly emotional during the end of the Superbowl

Paul is my Hero. He was the reason I became a Celtics fan. I tried emulating his game when I was in High School. Wasnt so successful, but I ended up becoming Eddie House with a step back J.

Gametime was 3AM, I was so tired and had little sleep the last few days, but no way I am missing this game. Man, I cried. Single best game I had watched in a long long time. Unreal.

This was probably up there with the 2012 game 7.

Great thread. My first memories of rooting for the Celtics were in the '87 season, so I grew up loving the Big 3, DJ, Reggie, but never got to experience a championship as a kid. After suffering through the dark years of the 90's, Pierce is the one that brought us back. Hands down my favorite player of all time. As the OP said, very emotional game. Glad we won and that he got the proper send off that he deserves, but it's tough knowing that this is his final season.

Same, 3am for the game! And also the biggest reason why I'm a Celtics fan. I can still remember that comeback against the Nets

Great feeling, but it cannot be as close as when Celtics were up by 20+ in game 6 vs Lakers in 2008.
The moment everybody realize we got the championship.
