One of my favorite videos to watch.

You can just see how smart Marcus Smart is on post ups, using his length to bother and contest shots, and his knack to know when to grab for steals and take charges.

I know his offense isn't anything spectacular, but his passing is improving, and there is only a select few players like Smart that can honestly do what he can do.

Like some other bloggers said here, Smart reminds me of Draymond Green lite.

Thanks, right back at ya.

If you guys want to, you should follow Elvin Gualberto, who makes videos about players who excel at certain aspects of their games. Like Lebron James passing, Kyrie Irving's Lefty wonder, Marcus Smart defensive dynamo.

Tomasz kordylewski who is a dynamic Celtic fan that wakes up early in the morning from his country to watch and upload videos.

Juan Simon also posts videos about defensive highlights.

Another favorite video of mine is this one.

Smart's defense 2/1/2017 on Kyle Lowry.

Defensewinschampionships. (Is that the user here?)

Another personal favorite of mine, Jae Crowder/Marcus Smart defense against the Rockets.

TP for the share.  I really liked the Smart vs. Lowry video.  Marcus made some amazing plays, but it also shows how great Lowry is too.  He made some huge shots with Smart draped all over him.

He's the guard version of Draymond Green. Just like you don't want Draymond playing defense on guards for long stretches of the game, you don't want Smart play defense on bigs for long stretches of the game. But can he in short stints? Yes. Can he be disruptive in those stints? Yes.

Every championship team needs a gritty guy who makes winning plays. Smart is ONE of ours, and probably our best one.

Honestly, Smart is the reason why I think this team is closer to contending that we normally give them credit for. You need timely, instinctual, winning plays in the playoffs against great teams. Smart gives you that.

So is that you posting the videos?

And I agree.

I want Smart guarding the best perimeter player, and having someone like a Draymond Green that can back him up.

I believe having two similar Draymond Green type of players next to two Allstars like our IT/Horford is instrumental in getting that much closer to the ring.

I'm not sure if that is a serious question or not, but no, it is not me.

It'd be great to have two of those guys on our team, but there are only two of those guys in the NBA right now.

I was being serious, because you usually post insightful information to threads.

Who do you rank in the top 10 defensively?

Kawhi, Draymond is definitely in there, but is Smart or Bradley?

Thanks for the compliment.  :) :-[ :)

Depends on the situation. Is this overall throughout the season, or you need one stop?

One stop, I have Lebron, George, Leonard, at Green at the top. Tony Allen, Smart, Giannis, Kevin Durant, Jimmy Butler, and Pat Beverly are all next.

Full season Lebron, George, Durant, and Butler don't make the list, because they don't invest much energy into defense.

Full season it's probably Leonard, Green, Smart, Allen, Beverly, Giannis, Wall, Ariza, Sefalosa, and Jordan. I like guys who can guard multiple positions and multiple scenarios on the floor.
