Trade the 2017 Nets pick, Amir, Jerebko and Rozier for Butler and Gibson. (Amir and Jerebko will give them cap space). Gibson is also a pending FA but gives us rebounding

Trade the 2018 Nets pick, Bradley and Young for their 2017 #1 pick (top 10). (Bradley is a pending FA)

Trade Crowder, Zeller and picks for Vucevic

Draft Malik Monk with the 2017 Philly pick.

It all works on Trade Machine and this team would be good for 3 years. Butler, Horford and IT are the Big 3 and 2 of them are already locked up. Vucevic has 3 more years at $11M. Celtics have to pay IT.

PG-Thomas
SG-Butler
SF-Brown
PF-Horford
C-Vucevic

Off the bench
Smart
KO
Gibson
Monk (next year and he's going to be a great shooter)

When we go small Gibson comes in for Vucevic and Smart gives us another perimeter defender to go with Butler and Brown.

We improve our rebounding and we're bigger with Vucevic and Gibson.

Butler and IT handle the scoring. Horford stretches the 4 and gives Vucevic room to work.

The only one we wouldn't have in this year's playoffs is Monk.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
We have a section called Trade Ideas. Please use it to post these ideas. Thanks
"People look at players, watch them dribble between their legs and they say, 'There's a superstar.'  Well John Havlicek is a superstar, and most of the others are figments of writers' imagination."

Why would we trade our 2017 pick only to trade Bradley, Young and a 2018 pick to get another 2017 pick back?

Nets 2018, Amir, Jerebko, and Rozier for Butler and Gibson allows us to keep Bradley.

But Smart or Crowder (probably both) would have to be included in the package anyway.

You may have misunderstood. We'd be trading a 2018 Nets #1 for Philly's #1 this year (projected top 10) because this draft is deeper. You get more bites at the apple from a good draft.

I don't trade the 2017 pick unless a player makes us better than Cleveland. And this is not Butler.

You cannot trade free-agents-to be such as Amir and Jerebko.

Say what...come again? Uhh

Yeah but you proposed trading the Nets 2017 pick which will probably be a top 3 pick. Then trading our second best asset/pick (Nets 2018) for a worse 2017 pick.

I'd much rather keep the Nets 2017 as opposed to trading both Nets pick for a Philly first (which could actually be out of the lotto depending on how they continue playing).

If Ainge projects next's years draft to be just as good or better than this one, then you can always ask for more. I haven't heard that next year's deal will be as good.

I quickly edited, as I understood this was a draft trade (to trade the pick, you'd better know if it is nº 1 or nº 4). Anyway, I stated another reason not to do it.

Uhh
