Lebron and his ego are very much part of the problem in Cleveland and he shouldn't complain about the roster because he helped to create it. He signed to contracts that would help him to maximize his money every year in Cleveland. He advocated for all hus buddies to get big bucks. The Cavs have the highest payroll and are losing huge amounts of money and so can't just sign more players without lising even larger amounts of cash due to the luxury tax.

If Lebron really wanted the team to pay to bring in the best players he should have taken way less money allowing Cleveland to lose less money and so being more receptive to spending money now. How can you criticize you front office for not signing more and better players when they are hemmoraghing cash due to Lebron's need to get paid and have all his buddies get paid too?

No love for Lebron this time, anybody?
That's a first!
I like that we finally have an understanding.

Wait for Moranis. Lebron could disrupt the national anthem by repeatedly passing gas into a microphone and Moranis would blame the chef of his pregame meal.

Barkley is an idiot but Lebron also needs to stop being thin-skinned and having rabbit ears.

Ouch! Moderator! Ouch!

I dare say that response is a logical fallacy.

You may have a right to agree or disagree with a person, but let's not turn this blog into a forum of mudslinging.

Charles is paid to be an analyst. And one of the things I have always valued in him is his willingness to speak his mind or his conscience on matters of basketball and other things, even if I totally disagreed with him.

I understand why Charles thinks Lebron is "whiny". But I also understand, why Lebron is trying to protect his image.  I don't think that Lebron should have gotten personal in his response.
The overreaction is more of the story now, than the original plea for a point guard.

I wonder how Sir Charles feels about this

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio -- LeBron James will receive the NAACP Jackie Robinson Sports Award before the Cleveland Cavaliers' game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.

The award seeks to highlight an individual in sports for his or her achievement in athletics and contributions in the pursuit of social justice, civil rights and community involvement
.

As for their feud I'd wish that there was more mutual respect between the two right now but I've never recalled LeBron attacking Charles - until recently.

However we all feel about him he IS STILL the best player in the NBA right now - and could very well prove it again in June unless BOS, TOR, or GSW stops him.

I hated his "Decision" but have since moved on from that and I have a TON of respect for LeBron James.

As a Diehard Celtics fan of course I loathe him - especially after he basically ran roughshod over us in that game 6 2011-12 ECF for 45 points. That game was perhaps my 3rd SADDEST day as a Celtics Fan - because I started coming to the realization that it would be nearly impossible to go back to MIA and win game 7 (we didn't).

After that? Our window closed for KG, Pierce and Rondo.

Personally I have a ton of respect for him and what he and his teams have been able to accomplish.

While I also have a lot of respect for Charles Barkley he is being petty about this. He forced LeBron to stoop to his level and now all bets could be off. I really hope LeBron doesn't continue to escalate this.

LeBron's public discourse about CLE and who they should acquire should NOT be public - I get that. But I really think that LeBron believes that his Cavs have a shot against this "Superteam" out West but maybe sees them as needing a few more pieces.

When WE as fans or human beings believe in something SO MUCH that we'll use just about ANYTHING to achieve that next step - don't we pursue it? At just about all costs? I believe we do.

Maybe he sees his OWN window closing as he gets older...I can't really condemn him for this beef with CLE OR Sir Charles.

I don't know. I would love to get promoted at my job, and it would be appropriate for me to talk to my managers about my own contributions and voice what I felt I needed to do and what was expected for me to get to that next level. If I did an interview with a local paper talking about what I thought I should get promoted for it wouldn't go over very well. I realize it is not a perfect example, but across businesses there are a lot of areas it is best to handle things through appropriate channels. What Lebron has been doing recently is not really appropriate.

LeBron's most redeeming quality is his body's superb response to PEDs.  I'm hopeful GS will ruin the twilight of his career.

As he surpasses Jordan in statistical categories, remember that MJ played fewer years and never lost a championship.

Michael Jordan played 15 seasons.  He won 6 titles.  He therefore lost 9 championships, he just failed to make the Finals in those seasons.

I mean if the Pats lose to the Falcons, is Brady a worse QB than Montana or Bradshaw who were both 4-0 in Superbowls.  Wouldn't you rather be 4-3 than 4-0.

Now I get James is only 3-4 in the Finals so he has a ways to go to catch Jordan in wins, but James has already played in more Finals than Jordan did in his entire career and he has 2 less seasons (this is James' 14th season).  Even if the Cavs don't make the Finals, James will still have been in the Finals for 50% of his career (it is up to over 57% if the Cavs make the Finals this year).

**** are you talking about.

If I were to name one poster on the blog and one NBA player they defended and posted about their greatness it would be you a million times over. I couldn't even name a single other poster on this thread that is a super fan of a non-Celtics player. It gets over the top.
