depends how cheap. I am all for it, but I really do not want to give up too much like NY did initially when they went all in for Melo when he was with Denver, leaving us nothing to build on.
For starters, I will NOT include any of the BKN picks. The reason why is Melo is 32 years old, so our window is very very small. Add Horford on top of that who is also 30, if we give us too much and it doesn't work out, we will be in limbo.
The Melo/Amar'e/Chandler project didn't work, so I don't expect IT/Melo/Horford to be that much better than that trio in the long term.
Not to mention, getting Melo means we will need to part ways with either Smart/Brown/Crowder or at least 2 of them, now if we can get Melo without giving up 2 of those guys (Preferably Smart to stay) that would be great, as I believe Smart if playing with Melo, can IT can be an amazing thing. A defensive guy who can create offsense by playing hard nose defense. Something Melo doesn't really have atm. And we have Bradley and Smart.
