  • That's turrible
This kid is going to be realllll good one day and will take over a starting role at some point. Him starting at SG these past couple games has made me wonder if he should maybe be a backcourt player after all but he's also a natural small forward. When his time comes, do you think JB is a starting SG or SF?

I think he can play either but you want to match up on the defensive end with the other team. So no matter if he starts at SG or SF he may have to cover a different spot.

I'm not sure I need to see how he guards quicker guards before I say which position he is best at, but I think if he can guard quick guards I love him at the 2. With a more polished post game, Jaylen could be a match up nightmare at the 2
Warning: I am a Marucs Smart homer

I love his fight ......Marcus and Jae schooling him.

With intense practice ball handling and shooting ,  he' ll be a serious force in a couple years to deal with .  2-3

He is probably best at the 2 right now but for the prime of his career he will be a 3. Towards the end of his career he will be a stretch 4.

Props to the OP for this. I have been thinking this all week. I think its a huge question moving forward. Maybe the 2nd most important question behind what can he bring long term. If he is able to defend quicker players it really opens things up for this team in the draft. You can draft a guy like Tatum and play him at the 3/4 knowing that you can play Brown at the 2/3 . iM glad we will get at least another week to look at this issue.

CBS doesn't use those positions in his schemes. So no point in making this debate really.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Right. He's a wing, that's all. Or maybe he's a swing because he's definitely got the strength to match up with a number of PF's. Regardless, his positional versatility is one more asset to his game.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
Fultz, Brown, Crowder, Horford, and Noel.

Should I even ask where IT, Bradley, and Smart are in all of this? I know they are all up for deals in '18, but I'd like to think the three of them together could bring in at least a starting level player in a trade.

As for Brown, I don't really care where he plays, just that he plays.

Keep them with the above and win a title in 2018.

I'm telling people that he will be a Kawhi Leonard like player in the league. His development curve will mirror that too

Disagree. I think its important to know if Jaylen can guard smaller players because it shows that he isnt just limited to bigger wings.

Trade chip

Bad Bad Bad idea.  That would be a huge mistake.
JB is way more than some throwaway "trade chip".
