Been saying for a while that if we're going to move jaylen from small forward, it should be to guard, not power forward.  In other words, tired  of being a small team.  Why not have a physical advantage somewhere.

What I was most impressed with last night was his handles, he seemed a lot more controlled yet aggressive at the same time... still needs to work on his body control to finish at the rim,  but for the most part no one seemed capable of keeping him out of the paint.

When he begins to trust his jumper this kid is going to be problems!!!

I have never understood the idea of playing him at the 4. His frame and length scream SF. His quickness and touch says he can play as a big SG. Maybe later in his career, much later, he will be able to play PF, much like Paul Pierce, but he isn't a PF...not even a small ball PF.

I'm actually surprised at how well he has done at the rim compared to Summer League. His ability to get by his defender yet 'slow down' his finishing move has been a staple in his development so far.

I totally agree on his jumper - glad to see that he actually does have a three in his arsenal.

His development is awesome.  Think back as to what Avery Bradley looked like his first season.  There is no way to know how he will trend from here on but so far his trend is very encouraging.  Sky is the limit but we won't know until at least the middle of next season and maybe later just what we have.  He still needs to calm it all down.  He probably will figure this out but you never know.  I remain very high on Jaylen Brown.

Its the small ball thing that many people are enamored with today.  Everybody wants to be the Warriors.  What many miss is that small ball only works with shooters.  Being small but not being able to shoot is a bad idea.

Good observation about his frame.  Narrow hips mean that it's a lot harder to get grounded against bigger guys; but against wings he's got a size and mostly a quickness advantage as well.

Biggest surprises:

Better shooter than given credit, especially foul shooting and 3 point shooting
Very good defender for a rookie
Excellent passer, finding open man
Not a surprise but dang is he quick. He makes other NBA players look slow. Special.

Needs to keep working on handle, protecting the ball in traffic and finishing at the basket.

Love the kid.

Wanted Brown before the draft; pumped on his progression so far. Believe he has all the intangibles to be great. His demeanor, dedication and intelligence along with his skill set will make him an all star and a key piece of the Celtics future core. After Rondo's comments about the big 3's leadership, is what I envision Brown being for years.

As previous posters have stated would love to see the pairing of Smart/Bradley

Jaylen posted a very solid 20 point game against Orlando.

this could be a huge opportunity for JB to show what he can do in a starter role while AB is out.

heck if Jaylen shines in the SG role...

maybe it is AB who gets shipped out in a package for Butler.

Butler doesn't look happy in Chicago lately...

He still looks like he's thinking a little too much, especially off-ball. But his instincts are good. I love his little hesitation/shot fake that he does when he gets the ball and how smoothly he turns that into a drive or a side step into a shot.

I hope he gets enough minutes the rest of the way to land on the all rookie team.
