C's need a rebounder with some toughness.

Noah's 20 minutes vs Amir Johnson 20 minutes.  Noah is way ahead.
Problem: Noah's contract.

Faried? What do you folks think about trading for him?

Rather have O'Quinn from the Knicks.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Faried of 3 years ago would have been great. Hes somehow a bad defender and not the rebounder he used to be.

Noah's contract is so terrible I cannot even think of an asset they would have to send with it to get me to accept that trade.

Noah at $17 mil per for 3 more after this?

I'll pass.....too many miles given his most effective style of play is high energy.

The tweets today say Melo has been offered to the Celtics and the Clippers.

The reaction so far is no. Keep the Nets picks. Keep options open for this summer.

I don't think the Clippers can afford him, if they want to keep Paul and Griffin.

Ainge can probably get Melo for his salary (it's a dump), without giving up much of anything for him. That's two more years at $27M per.

The alternatives are to trade the Nets picks for a Cousins or Butler. Or to try to sign another FA this summer. A Hayward or a Griffin.

I think the chances of signing either of those guys are small--especially Griffin.

Melo can certainly play the 4, and would take the scoring load off IT. I think Ainge should consider it, unless he has a deal for Noel up his sleeve, who should be the real target.

Reportedly Knicks is ok to trade Melo to Clippers without taking back any of CP3, DJ, and Griffin, that means probably Reddick + Rivers + draft picks, that's a really low offer.

I wonder if we can jump in to get Reddick, after all Knicks don't really need a guy like him, maybe we can offer Memphis pick + Rozier to Knicks, Reddick can really improve our guard depth, and give us the shooting needed
