We have lost our identity. We are no longer the underdogs that play scrappy defense. We have become lazy. We don't fight for rebounds, don't play defense or team ball. This is the Isaiah show on offense and because the other are not very active on offense they don't fight on defense. We need some changes here. This is not the Celtics I love.

Rebounding isn't even a consideration anymore.  It doesn't help that they have been without their best rebounder, AB.  I don't get the argument that rebounding is not that important.

In order
Defensive rotations
Rebounding
Ball movement/ turnovers tie

Rotations are not very good this year

That's it. Nothing more (the rest, such as rebounding is just a part of it)

Our success went to our heads, we no longer play with desperation.

First, let's not overreact. The team is 3rd in the conference and on pace to win about 50 games, this despite a pretty tough first-half schedule and some key injuries.

But with that out of the way, these are the things I think that are giving the teams some problems on the defensive end:

- Horford isn't as laterally quick as we may have thought, which means he can be beaten on D in the pick and roll. And he's an average rebounder, which means you've downgraded your rebounding when you factor in the loss of Sullinger. I still like what Horford gives this team, but I'm beginning to think he's more of an asset on offense than defense.
- Amir Johnson has continued to deteriorate. Meaning that your starting 4 and 5 together lack some of the the athleticism to stay with fast, physical teams.
- Bradley has been injured.
- Smart is a bit heavier this year and not as quick (from my eyeball test, with no hard evidence to back this up), and he's had to expend more energy on the offensive end. I still think his D is elite, but I've seen guys blow by him more frequently this year.
- You're slowly integrating Jaylen Brown with a few minutes a night. He's got loads of defensive potential, but he tends to get lost. That's to be expected; dude's 20.

You guys please tell me if you agree or disagree, or let me know what I left out.

Again, I'm not panicking. They've hit a slump, and their problems can be rectified. Your team is one of the best in the conference and has two high lottery picks in the pipeline plus cap space. See the big picture.

We just don't have the fire power or size of the Cavs , Warriors or Spurs .

LeBron is 1000 pound gorilla  that can!'t be moved .

It will take at least Boogie , for him to pay attention or be concerned about his throne.

You forgot the biggest defensive liability on the team. IT4.
In the last 5 losses, an opponent guard has gone for at least 30 points in every game. Doesnt matter if its Marcus or Avery starting next to him.

Forgot to add one more thing: Jae Crowder hasn't been quite his old self on defense, probably because of his ankle injury. Throw that into the pile.
