I don't see a comeback happening tonight frankly.

No, what most people will tell you is "IT is clearly not the answer. Trade him"

absolutely no effort out there besides Isaiah

Yeah, the fire that we played with the last several years just isn't there this year. Frustrating, and I have no idea why that is either.

1.  A team that thought they were going to be a lot better when they got Al and lost that chip on their shoulder.

2.  Three guys (Crowder, Bradley and IT) thinking about their next contracts.

3.  A laid back coach who clearly let's stuff slide.

Mike

#3 is the biggest issue.  Throughout the season, people have pointed out the C's over-reliance on taking 3's.  There are few plays with cutters going to basket either down the baseline or diagonally (like the Spurs do).  Guys like KO and JJ simply stand around at the 3 point line and are little more than "decoys" when the C's play their "hot potato" version of perimeter passing.  All of the C's defer to IT taking shots when he's in the game.  There's no rhme or reason to rotations. No one crashes the O boards (other than G's every once in a while).  Defensive rebounding by design consists of the bigs "blocking out" (mostly ineffective) to allow G's like Bradley to go after the ball.

That's all on CBS IMO.

Excellent move there by Smart. ANd some ridiculous D on consecutive possessions.

But I think it's official that Brad is grasping at straws with this lineup - Smart, Rozier, Young, Mickey, and KO.

This is what you end up doing when you don't have the stones to deal with individual players slacking off.  Problems just get bigger and bigger until all you can do is make some big showy move.

Mike

Yeah, I think Brad is a bit too soft with our guys. They certainly need called out after this loss, assuming they don't play 12 minutes of actual good basketball. There's just no passion or drive in this team anymore. Certainly entitled and not nearly as good as they think they are.

Is this just a little overreaction to a bad stretch of games? C'mon guys we have been playing hard basketball these past couple of games we've just come up against some teams that have a ton of talent

Naw, this is something that's been present since the very beginning of the season. We just don't play the same way as last year, or with the same passion. We simply try to outscore the opponent, and most of the time we just think we can play the 4th quarter to beat teams.

Mickey gave us good minutes. At least he's active out there and playing hard.

This guy's posts have been excessively negative every time I've checked out the game thread. It's quite early to be declaring this a loss.

IT 3 is not falling.  5 and 6 point swings killing C's all night.   C's miss makeable shot -- Wiz come right back and hit.
