Excellent move there by Smart. ANd some ridiculous D on consecutive possessions.

But I think it's official that Brad is grasping at straws with this lineup - Smart, Rozier, Young, Mickey, and KO.

This is what you end up doing when you don't have the stones to deal with individual players slacking off.  Problems just get bigger and bigger until all you can do is make some big showy move.

Mike

Yeah, I think Brad is a bit too soft with our guys. They certainly need called out after this loss, assuming they don't play 12 minutes of actual good basketball. There's just no passion or drive in this team anymore. Certainly entitled and not nearly as good as they think they are.

Mickey is changing the defense here. I'm liking it.

More good D from Mickey

He a Morris are about the same size. Good  match up.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Don't know if I should be mad at Brad for playing Young, or mad at Danny that he's still on the roster.  But I'm mad at this point.
I know it's not fair, but I wish he'd taken Hood or Harris. I know he was trying to swing for star talent but Young has been such a terrible NBA player.

I don't care about that.  I care that he's still wasting a roster spot when we're down 3-4 players in a week where we have 4 games in 5 nights.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I like this lineup, but add Bradley instead of Rozier.

Bill Simmons hyped up James Young on National Television when he was picked with a fist pump...

So of course this is the James Young we get...  :-\

I'm surprised Brad hasn't played Green or Zeller yet. Everyone should get to play! I'm trying to will a win through bitterness.

absolutely no effort out there besides Isaiah

Yeah, the fire that we played with the last several years just isn't there this year. Frustrating, and I have no idea why that is either.

1. A team that thought they were going to be a lot better when they got Al and lost that chip on their shoulder.

2.  Three guys (Crowder, Bradley and IT) thinking about their next contracts.

3.  A laid back coach who clearly let's stuff slide.

Mike

I'd say number one is a lot of it. Definitely an entitled attitude that runs through this team right now, except for a select few players.

Which is funny because you know Horford isn't that kind of guy or player to feel that way. He's been ok this year, but ultimately he's been dissapointing because the defense has gotten worse when I thought he would really stabilize it.

TP. Agree with all of that. Though on the other hand, I think Horford's insistence to play the 4 has been a big part of why we're much less effective defensively this year.

He's also playing the switch decent and then sat under that last pick in a nice position to discourage the drive off the pick.

Is this just a little overreaction to a bad stretch of games? C'mon guys we have been playing hard basketball these past couple of games we've just come up against some teams that have a ton of talent
