Please prove this wrong.

These were REALLY BAD and totally inexcusable!!!  We play a NY team in complete disarray and lose by double digits and then we host a Portland team on a four-game losing streak and nine game UNDER .500 coming off a game last night!!!

PLEASE, help tell me WHY I should NOT panic with us having 4 games in 5 games starting Tuesday at Washington or 5 in 6 days with NO Avery.

This team looks like an All-Star team defensively!!!

Our rebounding sucks and one of our best perimeter defender is out.

It's rough. To me it's magnified by the fact our last 3 losses were against teams (Toronto, New York and Portland) that Embiid has been able to beat this month in limited minutes.  That worries me.

Help me here LarBrd.  What the heck does Embiid have to do with our situation?  How and WHY do you weave Philly into OUR stuff all the stinking time???

It's not a big deal right now. Two bad losses without AB.

If the bad play continues id start to worry but for now it's just a bad stretch

It is time for a team meeting to clear the air and speak the TRUTH about how BAD we have been defensively and it should NOT end until they come up with answers after EVERY player looking inside personally!!!

the fact that a crappy team with a big can beat those teams we are failing against highlights how badly we need to add size to this team.   It also just has me shook, because my worst nightmare is philly leap-frogging us in the next 3 years and I'm starting to get worried that a healthy Philly team is already on our level.   Hopefully saying it out loud will prevent it from happening.

Starting to think we need to trade for boogie. There's no elite big men in this upcoming draft.

Allow me to recap an increasingly common sequence of events on C's blog.

1) A thread intended to discuss the Celtics team is started.  In this case, about our recent home losses to NYK and Portland.
2) LarBrd33 comes along and somehow relates something that isn't related at all to the 76ers and Embiid.
3) The thread is successfully derailed and devolves into further meaningless 76ers discussion that hasn't already been discussed dozens of times over.

These two losses were embarrassingly bad.  But I'm more worried about Bradley's health and the long term outlook for our defense, which has been miserable of late.

I agree with you about Boogie!!  But there you go again LrBrd.  Somehow finding a way to put Philly into this conversation about OUR team!!  They have a ways to go to pass us!!!  And if they do, hats off to them.  The NBA is a better league with a REAL Sixers/Celtics rivalry such as in the 1980s!!!

Smitty77

P.S.  Take away my TP's.  I could care less!!!!  If you are NOT worried after seeing our excuse for D the last two games, then you guys are in DENIAL!!  Enjoy your happy place!!!

82 game season. Losses happen. There are more interesting things to talk about other then over reacting to two losses.
