I think there are still a lot of doubting Thomases (no pun) out there.

Who else is in the conversation?
Only Calvin Murphy, cause of longevity and Mugsy, cause he was even smaller in the more physical era.
Still IT tops them all IMO too.

IT's ability to score is unreal. So frustrating for the other team.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
He's a better player than I took him for, but I'm still not in love with the idea of paying him Max and building around him and Horford.

As an offensive player, there isn't anyone under 6' other than Calvin Murphy who is in ITs class.  Mugsy might be the most amazing and would compete for "inch for inch" best, but I think GOAT under 6' is IT or Calvin Murphy -- unless Alan Iverson was really 5'11".

I've read multiple times that Iverson is/was 5'10".

Absolutely not. He visits my city often. I've stood right next to him a couple of times.

 Six feet even.

The question should be 6-feet and under, not under 6 feet.  That would include Iverson who I still think is GOAT, but it appears IT could overtake him someday.

Cool Sports Science clip analyzing IT's amazing floater that allows him to score even over 7 footers near the basket:
