Hard to imagine a world without Tommy - just feel privileged we still get him for half of the games.

I do like Scal, though, and am happy we have had a few years with him and Tommy so it's not too much of a shock when Tommy finally is gone. Scal is also still young so we may be listening to him for a LONG time.

I don't think you can hate the biased regional broadcasts for other teams and not see a problem with Tommy's blatant homerism.

Haha I know that's pretty much sacrilege around here, but I just prefer the broadcast to be as objective as possible, which is not Tommy's MO.

Yeah, objective Tommy is certainly not, that's why we love him!

In all honesty though, Tommy is an absolute legend and a unique treasure in sports. How many people out there have served a franchise faithfully and successfully as long as he has? From a great player, to  a great coach, to a long time unique broadcaster, Tommy has dedicated his whole, long life to the Celtics. Generations of fans have grown up listening to Tommy. We are extremely fortunate to have him.

Tommy needs to keep hounding Olynyk about developing a hook shot. It's pathetic that a seven footer has to make twelve fakes to get his shot off.

I voted for Scal. I generally like more objective commentary, plus Scal has a few interesting tidbits of insight now and then on the plays being run and stuff like that. Plus he has some anecdotes about playing with Pierce and KG, who are my two fave players.

As an aside, I don't know how anyone who likes Tommy can be salty when hearing bias from another team's commentator. Lol. I mean, I don't complain about biased commentary but I see some posters really get upset about it.

Love them both. Can't beat Tommy despite his frustrations but Scal is a great alternative on the road.
