Just thought Celtic Nation would have some laughs reading these outrageous trade demands for Brooke 'broken foot' Lopez by the diehards over at the Nets blog.  Lopez could help some teams out, just not for two high first round picks.

Here's what Net Nation has to say about Brooke

▼Nuggets give us a 2018 or 2019 1st round pick
And also Jusuf Nurkic and Will Barton. Need to get rid of Will Barton to clear way for Jamal Murray to start. I think 1 first round pick and Jusuf Nurkic and Will Barton is a fair trade. We get our center for the future and Will Barton averages 13 points a game and 3 assists and 5 rebounds. All will increase with more playing time. Best trade we can get.

▼This is something BS that I'm reading
All of you jump on BK for his trades man look at the moiso yourself write here. Two lottery picks and potential starter is the only thing that should be considered, anything else go moiso yourself!!!

I think Boston is the best bet if we do let him go. It’s easier to rebuild when you have control of your own destiny and picks.
Amir Johnson
Jerebko
Demetrius Johnson
2018 Nets 1st
The rights to Ante Zizic OR either the 2019 Celtics pick or Memphis pick
We’d also either need to find trade partners for the above players or trade/dump some of our players.

▼The team I would like to trade is Boston
Need both our picks back (2017 we keep our pick and get theirs) + 2018 we get to keep our pick.

u ask for CJ McCollum and 1 or 2 1st rounders to start this off. Their getting a great center, plus Mason’s Former Teammate. Let’s not set the bar low for ourselves. They Probably will say no. But CJ could be a bigger piece here then in Portland if we can get him for Brook.

Fans always write what favourites their team... I have read a lot... In here..  Both Millsap and Lopez are not worth over one midfirst pick... They are expiring contracts or too old for something more

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Those last 2 are hilarious.
Poor guys. Delusional.

Some pretty horrid trade demands here too at times.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I don't see the point to make fun of other fans, specially when we are not better than them.
What do you think other fans think when we said "trade IT, IT on the bench, etc..."?
They must laugh at us even more.

Well I agree, but I don't think they laugh at us the same way; they would mostly laugh at us underrating our own players rather than overrating them. When some people believe the minimum package for Jimmy Butler is both nets picks, JB and Crowder and some even say the celtics can't put any package that can get Butler (looks at a guy who thinks he's cool with short responses), I think we should be thinking of ourselves rather than the others and start to appreciate what we have.

You can never ask too much for a C that averages 5 rpg, I guess...

The Denver one and first Boston one are that crazy (I wouldn't do them if I was the team but they aren't that unrealistic), but the other ones are absolutely ridiculous.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Bigs - Shaquille O'Neal, Victor Wembanyama
Wings -  Lebron James
Guards - Luka Doncic

This is true, though some here are in denial.

Hate the thread title.  Nets fans can't "demand" anything.  Not even their GM can "demand".

You Know they are Happy Alonzo Gee signed with them today. Playoff here they come for sure.

wrong.

Celtics fans are seen as massively overrating their players.

The running joke among bulls fans is that every time Jimmy Butler drops 30 they laugh that Celtics fans believe he is hardly better than Jae Crowder.

Well he's not better than the LeBron, so he won't do us any good.
