Does this not sound like Olynyk-shopping to others?  Smart's recent leap is highly interesting, too.  And with Crowder's manimalistic tweets... I suspect a move is coming.   ???

Thanks for the great link to the presser but that is pretty stock standard question and answer. I don't think I could glean any hidden messages out of that.

how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was chris bosh?

Sounds like run of the mill CBS postgame to me.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Careful, you will cause a melt down here.

I doubt we even give him a qualifying offer, he has a neat skillset but it very fragile in terms of confidence and even performance.  Maybe this is because Ainge did not pick up his option because we all know he wilts when he does not have confidence.

It sounded like a normal presser to me conducted by a guy who probably still gets carded when he buys beer.

I suspect a moving is coming too but not from that press conference.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

That's unlikely, he didn't have an option this year. We could have extended him, but that would have killed our cap space before we even got to FA and Kelly seemed to understand that.  It probably has to do with the surgery he had (similar surgery to Bradley caused a one-year drop in 3 point shooting)

I'd bet that we do extend him the QO, but if we are in position to sign a star or he signs an offer sheet before stars have decided, then he's definitely gone
I'm bitter.

If Olynyk would just learn to shoot a hook shot with either hand, he would be a much better player. Tommy told him to do it, and Olynyk ignored him. That shows me he is a lazy.

CBS ....loves being the underdog .  ....coaching his team all the way to every victory.....that's his thrill..  Doc wants every best player and basically a self run team of all stars to do 95 % of the coaching work.

CBS lives the game.

I used to think a lot of Kelly but this year, after every game, I'm sick of him

It's not completely clear to me, because the CBA hasn't been finalized, but reportedly it will limit or eliminate teams abilities to rescind QOs.  Accordingly if we extend a qualifying offer, it will prevent us from being able to offer a max salary without making a trade or two if Kelly doesn't immediately sign an offer sheet elsewhere.  (Of course, getting the 1st overall pick will also prevent us from having max room.)

CBS likes Kelly. That's why Kelly plays when most coaches wouldn't play him.

I had hoped that trust over time would build a very unique kind of player - a stretch 5 who can handle the ball, pass, and defend the pick-and-roll.

I see flashes of that. I'm not sure how much longer I can go on potential, because when he isn't hitting his shots, he doesn't make the big plays to justify his being on court FOR AN ARMCHAIR COACH.

Then, I hear CBS explain how that play was drawn up, and I remember that the little decisions are sometimes just as important.

He's just not a competitor in the strain of the chip-on-shoulder guys we've come
to appreciate like Smart and Chowder. He plays more aggressively for Canada, with good results.

I laughed my ass off last night when KO hit a cutter for a layup and Tommy said he was doing what he does best - pass. He is quite pass-ive.

I think the same thing, and then I look at the box score, and he has a positive plus and minus. So he plays better than he looks.

Maybe we should play O Canada before every game?

Kelly is not going to all of a sudden morph into anything like Dirk. That ship has sailed. This is what Kelly is. Kelly has no alpha in his personality at all. Luckily Kelly is bright, and has good anticipation.

His type game would be a luxury on a team that has a strong front line, but we don't have that luxury.
