Can someone please make this into approriately sized banner for me

But but Randle... LOL
He's a better player. Smart is having a good night. Randle is a better player.

Smart is the better player. Randle only plays one side of the ball and not even well. I take Marcus all day every day!

I love Smart and I am bias so I would choose Smart but Randle is absolutely making a case for himself this year as well. He is definitely a beast down low, good rebounder, very tough, and a better scorer right now than Smart. However, with that said, Smart is one of the core reason why our team has this record, of course IT4, but Smart crunch time defense definitely deserves some credit

Randle has some OK stats on a really bad team. Smart is a key player on the 3rd seed in the East. No comparison in my mind. The Lakers could really use a player like Marcus.

Marcus also only plays one side of the ball. Randle averages 3.8 assists from the power forward spot passing to young players. Smart averages 4.4 from the combo guard spot passing to three all stars.
Randle was the better player yesterday. He is today. He will be tomorrow.

They wouldn't sit Jordan Clarkson for him

I wouldn't trade Marcus straight up for Randle, but I prefer players with heart and hustle. Randle is a perfect Lakers player.

One thing I love about Marcus is that he doesn't care about FG%. He will put up a low percentage shot against the game or shot clock, from wherever on the floor, without hesitation.

He's taken 5 end-of-quarter heaves so far this year according to Basketball reference, by far the most on the team and more than any other complete season in his career (he had 4 in each of the first 2 years of his career)

It's nice to have someone willing to do that (and the late in the shot clock ones, too)
I'm bitter.

Smart lacks the heart and hustle to work hard enough in the off season to improve his shooting to anything better than one of the worst shooting guards in the league.  Scala had heart and hustle. But at some point you need basic skills too.

Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Maybe if they were close ones on defense.

Motiejunas looks fine. I don't see why Houston waived him, given Capela's injury.

Other teams brought him in after Houston cut him.  Last year Detroit vetoed a trade based on his physical.  Only New Orleans signed him, and at the minimum.  I'm fairly sure the injury concerns are real, and probably some personality issues (at least in Houston) to boot.

They're likely giving up their draft pick this year, so there's no reason to tank with Clarkson.

I'm going to have to ask you to go watch Attack of the Clones and leave Marcus alone. ;)
