As it stands, he is a starter (over AD, Draymond, and Cousins). Got to love fan voting.

I do wish there was a way to limit each fan to only one vote by attaching phone #s or emails, but I suppose people would just use others' or make up new ones.

Actually, the NBA encourages you to vote multiple times a day across multiple platforms.  You can just vote on their website, but also vote via twitter and Facebook, because the NBA wants to trend across social media.  I assume that's why they've given half of the vote to players and media now, so that the Twitter bots can't completely dominate the vote.

Oh, totally - I have been voting for IT multiple times, too, but I just don't like the way it works. Whatever it takes to get clicks, I guess.

Rose honestly has not been that bad this season, he has been pretty solid. He is averaging 17.5, 4 and 4 on 45% shooting. He is clearly better than Delladova, Lin, Rondo (now MCW), Sergio Rodriguez, DJ Augustine, Ish Smith/Reggie Jackson and has been at least as good as Teague and probably pretty similar to Dragic and Schroeder.

Only guys you can argue he has clearly been worse in the east than are IT, Wall, Irving, Walker and Lowry.

So definitely should be behind Lowry but calling him the second or third worst pg in the east is crazy.

It was a bit hyperbolic, but man, there's quite a drop-off after the elite EC guards. He's in the mix with that tier of mediocrity, while Lowry has clearly been the best PG in the East. Fan voting is a travesty.

From a numbers standpoint he is right there. He is averaging 19pts, 17 rebounds and 2.5 blocks a game. What center clearly deserves to go over him? I think him missing 33% of the games for rest is a fair reason to dock him a little (because I do believe you can put up better numbers when you are coming into every game pretty rested). However, he is definitely in the conversation. Drummond is only averaging 14.5 and 13.5 this season. Whiteside is only at 17p 14 rebounds and 2 blocks. Also none of their teams are doing great. If Embiid doesn't make it this year it will probably the only year he doesn't make it if he stays healthy.
