One thing that has been bothering me abut this whole issue which has been overblown in the Media.

Crowder outright recruited Durant! A player that plays the same position that Jae does.

Finally, Boston cheered on Durant as well when he came to Boston. Why weren't you mad about that Crowder? Seems fishy to me. Thoughts..

its actually the other way round......

Please do not compare Hayward to Durant...Please!!!

Hayward is not even better than Crowder. So you tell me why are we even looking at Hayward? Brad should not be playing favorites with his ex-Butler player.

If the premise of this thread is that Crowder recruited Durant cause of the color of Durant's skin but doesn't want Hayward to come to the team because he is white this probably does need to get locked pretty quick...

Yes, at this point I think it's the race thing with Crowder. Based on his Twitter follows and instagram posts, the the fake narratives put out by SJWs have Crowder fooled. It's a shame.

Hayward, black or white, is a better basketball player than Crowder, let's not be ridiculous.

I think that just maybe the fact that we're differentiating between a top 3 NBA player and a good, not great player might have something to do with Crowder's reactions being different.

How is Brad playing favorites with Hayward because 50 people in the crowd cheered for him?

What is SJW???

Switch Hayward for Crowder on the Cs and we are NOT a better team. At best its a push.

this whole debacle has set Celtics back as a destination for free agents.

The guy practically broke a leg for this team in the playoffs (IIRC) and you diss him in public before his peers, don't you guys know players trash talk over stuff like that?

I don't think Crowder's behavior is racist at all. I think though he let his insecurities get to him and fired back with the race card, which was an overreaction.

It is 1000% clear that Durant is a far better player than Hayward. Crowder for that reason was glad to recruit him. To many of us and to many NBA analysts, it is also obvious that Hayward is a better player than Crowder, but not by a large amount. What Hayward does that Crowder cannot do is create his own shot and shots for others, and he is a superior ball handler. Crowder has him matched or beat at every other aspect. The thing is, Crowder gets a lot of his offense from our system, whereas Hayward creates most of his offense.

To us, these differences are obvious. When you are an NBA player however, you generally tend to think more of yourself than the media does, and it is only natural for Crowder to think that he is as good or better than Hayward. He's also likely worried about getting his big payday while he is still producing at a high level and getting minutes. These insecurities likely caused him to overreact and take a shot at fans using the race card. His mind had to reach for something to justify to himself why so many people are sure that Hayward is clearly an upgrade over him. I can't blame him.

Yeah, not at all. He wants to be appreciated/not lose his job, nothing more.
