Maybe I'm mis-reading the year so far, but it looks like he has clear separation from everyone else in the draft. At least right now.
No he does not. Offensively he is tier 1 talent
But so is smith jr, tatum, monk
Defensively Fultz screams out solid but not much more
This draft lacks a dominant two way player... Giles was suppose to come close
Stating an opinion as fact without any supporting evidence does nothing to move the conversation forward. And it makes you sound like a know-it-all.
I was looking for informed input. If you have any, share it.
For my part, I've seen no one who has Fultz's combination of effortless scoring and real playmaking ability. Take a look at that video - he's not just getting assists because he has the ball in his hands all the time and sometimes another player scores. He's setting up the plays by attacking the basket or seeing the open man.
And meanwhile, he looks like he can get a good shot any time he wants, but he still tries to get others involved.
None of Tatum, Monk or Smith has that from what I've seen. Monk's not a playmaker. Tatum isn't a great shooter or playmaker. Smith is really, really good but he doesn't have Fultz's size, which will make a difference at the next level.
And while you're at it, how do you reconcile your statements that Monk, Tatum and Smith are "Tier 1" offense with this?
Monk has below average height, wingspan, strength for a SG
You know, Jordan Crawford once went off at a college game.
Monk will be better but odds are stacked against him to perform the way he is now vs college players vs nba calibre player. Especially on the defensive end
Smith has t rex arms though an explosive athlete.
Tatum, Isaac have "children" bodies...
None of that makes sense to me, unless your opinions change completely day by day, or unless you are inclined to make over-the-top statements without really thinking them through.
