Are you secretly rooting for the lakers?

Sometimes I catch myself hoping all their young players turn into good players, just so our legendary rivalry gets revived. Am I the only one? I think both teams are on a good path back to contention. Lets hope we meet them in the finals in 2020 (With us winning of course)

It's a double-edged sword: There's no sweeter NBA victory for me than a Finals win over the Lakers. Yet if the Lakers are Finals-worthy, there's the distinct possibility of them adding to their title count.

Today I wanted them to beat the Raptors, because that would help the Cs.

I also want the Lakers to win a decent amount of games this season, so they don't get a high lottery pick—yet I don't want them to get too good.

Such a quandary.

My biggest fear is all those guys turn into what they were hyped to be and more and I have to listen to  my cousins bash me about Lakers BS like its 2010 again. No thanks.

Even when the play the Brooklyn Nets a game that I should want them to win, I would rather they played to an endless draw so the NBA just takes that game off the board.

Right. So I guess the perfect scenario (for me, at least) would be for the Lakers to miss the playoffs but have virtually no shot at a top-3 pick.
