Just saw that Kevin McHale had visited Kevin Garnett on his new show called Area 21. I enjoyed these two clips from the episode and thought that I'd want to share it with you guys!

(I really miss KG's trash talk after hearing what he told Isaiah Thomas when he played for Sacramento haha  ;D)

Man, gotta love KG and McHale talking basketball. That was an excellent area 21 show all around, talking Larry Bird vs MJ, the relevance of big men in the NBA, hard fouls, the current celtics team. Awesome stuff.

awesome thanks heaps for posting! TP
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I love how he just sits in a chair and plays with a basketball instead of posing at a desk and playing with a pen like the other guys.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

The other guys are "analysts", so they have to makes notes and stuff. While KGs segment is pretty much just shooting the sh-- with guests. With that said though, I can't wait until ASG to see who he can get to come through.

It's not just shooting the Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. for KG though, they prep for those segments, he has video clips all set up and the topics are all prepared.

Thanks for posting.  Two of my favorite Celtics.  Both genuine.  When do they do the actual show?  I saw snippets during TNT game, but not the whole deal.

Kirk Minihan had a decent interview with McHale as well.

The highlight of my brief, unillustrious broadcasting career was an interview with McHale during media day the year he retired.  I got him to open up quite a bit about his high school days.  I really appreciated that he would give me the time of day.
Yup

That's outstanding. KG calls us the most dangerous team no one is talking about. That's what I've been talking about.

I guess I'll delete my signature attack on James Young. It makes my username hypocritical. I don't think Young is good enough to be in the NBA, but I needn't be a jerk about it.

You can see that there is truth to the concept of Celtic's Pride. There is greater power and satisfaction in team rather than individual success. It's about ubuntu and supporting everyone. KG says it's about the next guy. It's about the banners and history.

Without doubt KG's number needs to be retired. He gets it. In the same light, no way should Ray Allen's.

I wish McHale would join the C's for a year or two and get in on this. I don't think we've had a real center coach since Clifford Ray.

The trade that brought us KG is the trade that keeps on giving! What that did for the long term reputation of this franchise is immeasurable.

 TP for finding these gems.

KG figured it out quickly, what it means to be a Celtic. McHale played under Red...he sat on the knee of a legend, enough said.
