My brothers and I started to debate IT. Is he a top 10 player in the league? I say no. But you might be able to make an argument he is approaching this status.

1. LBJ
2. Durant
3. Westbrook
4. Harden
5. George
6. Cousins
7. Towns
8. Davis
9. Curry
10. Leonard/DeRozan/Lillard/Green/Butler/Thomas?

Not sure towns is already in the top ten.  But based on the rest of the names you list, the answer is no.

This. I LOVE Towns, but he's not top 10 yet. Isaiah definitely doesn't sneak into the top 10, but maybe top 15 (I'd have to look into this more seriously.)

Edit: I think PG is also WAY too high.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

PG is having a bad season, and he even recently admitted it. Towns is also not even on the same plane as these other players, yet. I also think Cousins, while incredibly dominant, can't be considered a top 10 player in the league. He's too much of a liability for his team, given his off-court and on-court problems. Professionalism, unfortunately, is a big part of this game.

Likewise, I think Leonard is underrated on your list. You really can't find many better team-first, two-way players like him in today's game.

Towns isnt top 10 yet, maybe in a year or two. PG is a bit too high in this list; probably outside the top 10 at this point due to his stats. Curry is way to low; he is top 5 for sure.
IT4 is probably top 13 at this point in the season. Top 3/4 in the East.

Whoa! Curry is having a tough year but you don't win unanimous MVP without being a little better than the 9th best player.

Ehh, given how good the top of the league has been this year, I think Curry might fall into that 7-9 range. Of course, this is only based on production this season.

Irving maybe should make the list instead of Townes (I love Townes though and he's definitely an All Star this season, but Irving is way too clutch to not get on here) and I could see IT "maybe" sneaking past George, though Paul George has consistently been a great player season to season.

No he is not top ten. I'm not even voting for him for all-star. Mr. 5'9 has to drop 59 to get my vote.

two time mvp, and 5zh in the rankings right now.
IMHO he's the best player in the league, Durant's presence has diminished his impact on the basketball field.Without Durrant, he would have topped his epic last season.
also agree with Cousins Towns and PG, they are way way to high, and Kawi got robbed.
Tier1 Step, Lebron, Durrant, Russ and Harden
Tier2 Kawi, CP3, Davis, IT
Tier3 Lillard, Wall, Cousins, PG13, Thompson

Are you going to wait for LeBron to score 68 from that token.

Statistically, right now IT is a better player than Durant in terms of Scoring.   Now KD is sharing the ball with Curry and Thompson.

I think IT is making a strong case for being a top player in terms of production but will folks every take him serious because of his height?

He's number one on the Celtics. That's all that really matters.

Totally disagree.  Rank them by basketball talent.  Cousins is top-10.

I do agree however, that Kawai should be #5 instead of Harden on the OP's list.
