Its just one game, calm down. Otherwise, Horford wouldn't average 15/7 this season, close to his career average.

It's not one game.  That's what folks need to realize.  This is a deteriorating team that needs an injection of something new

Maybe a tank job? Wait, we're already still doing that.  ::)

The Cavs had much the same effect on the team that broke the single season wins record.

C'mon guys.. We didnt lose to the 76rs or the Suns.. We lost to the best Team in basketball, the Defending champs with the best player in Basketball on their court. And yes they were killing us but We scrapped back and actually made it a game..

This had nothing to do with IT or Horford.. This was just a team with An all world player defending their house..

There is no other player in the league that you could add to this team that could have guaranteed us a win tonight..  No not Boogie, no not Paul George, no not Durant..

Tonight Was just 1 game and there was plenty from that game to be happy about..

PS.. Jaylen Brown is going to be a heck of a player in the future..

Lebron walked three times in one possession at the end of the game.
Drives me crazy.

Entitled ass fan.  You are soft.

If we had Deandre Jordon ....we beat the Cavs ......to even up the inside presence
Maybe. Or maybe now. The Clippers have Jordan and they don't win every game.

It would be great if we had Jordan on the team. But then when we lost games people would find something else to rant about.

It is bizarre that anyone would chose to rant based on a game against the best team in our conference who is also the defending champion.

Man, some of you people don't get it, some do.

It is not about one game. I am not basing a reaction of one game, rather that matchup that unless an injury happens will keep happeninng.

It is too easy for the CAVS, you saw that in the first half, they did not even try and they were toying with us. Bradley was on fire as was IT and they still were playing like they were against a ymca team. Then you saw the outburst in the 3rd qtr.

Things are too easy and if you analayze it youll see why, no toughness, weak down low play, and weak perimeter defense.

Why? well because our guards are no more than 6 foot 2 in our strarting lineup. Bradley good defender, but weak in terms of physical, IT is a pretty bad defender, and it's not his fault but he is, I can shoot over him any time I want to, and if you get by IT your in the world of trouble as it seemed like we always were.

So yea some of you want to bring up what IT did vs Memphis or teams like the Suns , Sixers, NEts, blah blah

I love IT , but in some games im just saying to myself, it aint gonna work, they have a huge advantage. So yea I rather have Smart in the lineup not letting whoever get easy penetration, or easy jumpers. That can slow down the Cavs. Obviously it will not completely, but you can see that you have to make teams like the Cavs uncomfortable, and Weak Horford and IT tiny butt aint going to do that. This is an easy SWEEP, and I mean easy sweep if the gameplan continues with this same team.

Weren't the TNT announcers saying we were one of the toughest teams in basketball?

Are we young, raw, undertalented? Yes.

Soft? No.

Have some patience, this is literally just the third year of a rebuild and we have the third-best record in our conference, with multiple high draft picks coming our way.

What an overreaction.

Why is it a surprise that we can't beat teams like the Warriors or Cavs?? They are levels ahead of us right now.

And here is another shocker: We will never become contenders unless we manage to fix our rebounding issues. The Cavs outrebounded us 46 to 29. That's embarrassing.

You are soft.
Stick with the process when we lose a game versus a topteam on the road with a small margin, even had a chance to perhaps win the game if the open Crowder 3 went in...

Sick of reactions like this. We just won 6 out of 8. Are 13-5 or sth like that with our starting line up and most of our players play with a lot of heart.

love this team.

People  sleep on just how good Horford is... unfortunately with how the team is currently constructed he won't truly shine until we get/grow a few more pieces. He's the ultimate glue star... we just need someone to glue IT to... no need for overreactions, we're just in the middle of a rebuild.

If you want to know how good Horford is go look at the Hawks stats... Millsap, Korver, etc and remind yourself that Teague is a scoring PG. Horford simply makes the right,  basketball play... what that play is on the current Celtics is tricky when we don't have shooters like Korver and Carroll or low post beasts like Millsap...

simply put, without Horford a team that had 4 All stars won't have any

Yes, that's exactly what you want your max contract guy to be... someone who needs to be made better with other players.  ::) ::) ::)

"Slower as mall-asses"?

I have no idea what mall-ass is and this cracked me up.  TP.   I would assume he meant molasses.  I guess are not what they used to be folks.

Quote
IT is a little boy on defense, nobody is scared of him, they just go around him like it's nothing, and he sure as hell is not going to come from behind after getting beat or come out to contest somebody's man on the perimeter......im sorry but this is what we will get when we go against the tougher team. I LOVE IT when hes killing teams and we get wins, but I cant stand him when we go up against the teams that are going to be a team that needs to be beat in order to contend.
But it is what it is.

Thomas is little all the time.  His size is and always has been a detriment against the Cavs because they throw 6-6 defenders at him that make his life heck.  They also get very physical against him.   You have to take the good with the bad.  He is our best player, he has his gifts and his flaws.

Quote
Horford, is he this slow? Like super slow soft.....The only time he seems to get blocks is when he is stationary and under the basket lol. Like put back blocks.
His rebounding is attrocious in this game, he is always the least likely to get the rebound. I feel like he is the slowest player out there. Just the way he runs back after a made basket or on defense on a rebound the guy irritates me. I knew this would be the case as well, as I saw it with the Hawks. He can play vs 80% of the league but when you run into a somewhat tough team with shooters, the guy is almost useless, the game is too much , too fast for his brain and his muscle movements. He is slower than mall asses

I rather we put out Smart and Jaylen and Zeller and lose 95-84 than be embarrassed and handles this easily.

Zeller is the softest big on the team usually.   KO is up there, too.   Amir vanished last night.   At least Al Horford blocked some shots but CLE frontcourt is solid and ours is so-so.   I think Horford is a much better player than Sullinger, he gets two less rebounds a game but does everything else much better.   He does run the floor, I would put to the game before last when he got the putback on the layup.   Perhaps we overpaid, but I enjoy watching him and CBS plays him a decent amoumt.

We fought our way back in the game and lost by six.   I hardly think that this was an embarrassing loss.

One thing to lose a game where you beat up the other team and tough a loss out, and the other to absolutely get toyed around with and not even scare the other team.

At least with Smart , somebodies bones will be broken, this is like getting assaulted and having no chance to fight back.

Im very angry right now.

Your angry and your over reacting.   The Cavs are a top two team in the NBA, the beast of the east.   I hate them and want to beat them every time.   We are a team with some deep flaws, we could use another solid big and a scorer.

538 does games predictions.  If you look at yesterday, 12/29/16 you would find that we had a 27% chance of winning and CLE had a 73%.

Odds were against us, even Vegas saw it that way.

You can bet we made a few peeps nervous last night.  I root for us to win every game but I acknowledge that against some teams the odds are against us.

As for weakness.
