Kelly Olynyk shoots the most convoluted shots inside, but if he would just learn to shoot a hook shot with either hand, he could score all the time. Witness Jerebko's hook in last night's game.

There a lot of things he can improve upon. Has he even developed all that well? His game pretty much is the same as it was his Rookie Season. He's also really soft.

Agreed.  Kelly probably hasn't had any time to develop his game with all the rehab offseasons, so I'm not surprised that he hasn't improved his game.  Maybe that could signal that we get him for cheap this offseason, then when he improves we'd get a great cheap contract just like AB.  IMO if he does work on his game this upcoming offseason, he definitely be the player that everyone thought he was his rookie year.

That's a good point. I assumed he wouldn't improve this year because of the off-season surgery. I think it's the second off-season he hadn't had the opportunity to work on his game.

That would involve Kelley having to shoot in the paint under defensive pressure. He'd have to learn how to up-fake a hook shot.

I don't like his footwork seems really fidgety and unsure. I thought coming into the draft his low post scoring was a strength? Right now, he's living off the pump fake and staying in front of guards.

You can probably say this about 98% of big men in the league. Nobody knows fundamentals or has legit low post moves anymore, especially now with the way the game is tending. It's almost sad in way.

So true. I learned to shoot a hook shot with either hand at an advanced age, so I could score over guys that where were better than me. It works all the time.

Hooks are not proceeded by up fake move .   It means him standing in at normal hook range .....that's too close in for that sissy .  He wants to do nothing but stand behind the arc and watch the game un fold and shoot threes .

Not worth keeping l guys who are 7 ft and chicken to,battle for a rebound.

Never happen
