  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I Think one every 12-15 years would be the ultra optimistic outlook for me.
Gonna be hard over the next 5 years with Lebron and the Warriors around, and the Wolves and 76ers look pretty promising, but I'd hope we can nail a pick and Jaylen can become an Al Star.
I'm 31 years old and I'd be happy with 3 or 4 more championships before I die.
To think that the 2008 team only ended up winning one shows just how hard it is to win a championship in the NBA.

Too optimistic?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Doesn't matter too much--as long as they stay ahead of the Lakers...if it weren't for that Crooked Pau Gasol trade--or the Crooked 4th quarter of Game 7, 2010...We'd be up by 3 Titles at least.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

All of them. If you asked how many do I think they might win before I die, then 2 or 3. I am 54.

none.
dont get me wrong i want them to win, but i saw them win in the 80's and 2008. ive seen the pats / bruins/ sox all win championships. for new england sports fans, you really cant beat this last generation or so.
sports -wise, i really cant complain. i'll die happy :)

Hope?  Every single one.  I'm not putting a number because we are talking about my life here.

Realistically, one every 12-15 years with at least 5 years of real contender status would probably be good for me.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I became a Celtics fan when I was nine. They won the title when I was 15. It was only a 6 year odyssey for me. so maybe I'm a little more desensitized to it all than most, ecspecially those who suffered through the nineties (I'm so sorry).

But I will say that the 8 and a half year gap without a title has made me reflect on how special 2008 was. If we somehow miraculously won it all this year it wouldn't be nearly as special. It would be special in the sense that we would be the biggest underdogs ever to win it, but the players we have here now just really don't do it for me to be honest. I mean that 2008 team had balls, charisma, guts, and a cast of characters for sure. Teams like that come along once in a blue moon.

Title runs are fun and all but there's so many other reasons why I follow the team. The tradition, the heart our players show, their development, the excitement of rumors, the buzz of the draft, just the fact that watching each game is a new experience. That's why I love basketball. You see something every game you've never seen before.

As long as we never sink as low as Brooklyn, I'd be content if they never won another title in my time. Contents not the right word, but like I said there are plenty of reasons to watch other than titles.

I'd like three in a row. IT/Boogie/Jaylen as our big three... win18/19, 19/20, 20/21. I'll be good after that... might switch over to Sacramento, or Orlando.
